As they strolled towards school, a comfortable silence enveloped them, but Ken felt the weight of another secret pressing against her chest. It wasn’t just her identity as Spider-Man that she had to reveal; there was something else—something more intimate—that she needed to share with Wenny.
“Hey, Wenny,” Ken started, her voice a bit shaky as they walked past a cluster of students. “There’s something else I need to tell you.”
Wenny turned to her, brow furrowing slightly. “What is it?”
Ken stopped walking and turned to face Wenny, taking a deep breath. “It’s about who I am… in more ways than one.”
Wenny tilted her head, her curiosity piqued. “What do you mean?”
Ken glanced around to make sure no one was listening, then lowered her voice. “I’m not just Spider-Man. I’m also… I’m a futa.”
Wenny blinked in confusion. “A futa? Like… you have both male and female anatomy?”
“Yeah,” Ken said, feeling vulnerable as she spoke the words. “It’s part of who I am. I’ve always been this way.”
Wenny's expression shifted from confusion to something softer. “Oh. Wow, Ken… that’s—”
“Different?” Ken interjected, her heart racing as she braced for Wenny’s reaction. “I get it if you think it’s weird or if you don’t know how to feel about it.”
Wenny shook her head, a gentle smile forming on her lips. “No, it’s not that. I mean, it is different, but it’s you. And you’ve already shown me that you’re more than just your identity.”
Ken felt a wave of relief wash over her. “You’re not freaked out?”
Wenny shrugged playfully. “Why would I be? You’re still Ken, right? Spider-Man, or futa, or whatever else you want to call yourself, it doesn’t change who you are to me.”
Ken stared at Wenny, disbelief mingling with gratitude. “You really mean that?”
“Of course,” Wenny said, her expression earnest. “We’ve come this far, haven’t we? And honestly, I think it’s kind of cool. You’re like a superhero, and you get to be your true self. That’s pretty amazing.”
The tension between them shifted, now laced with understanding. Ken’s heart swelled with admiration for Wenny, who, despite all the complexity, chose to embrace her.
“Thank you, Wenny,” Ken whispered, her voice thick with emotion. “It means a lot to me.”
They continued walking, the conversation lingering in the air like a promise of more to come. For the first time, Ken felt like she could be her whole self around Wenny, without fear of judgment.
As they arrived at school, Ken caught Wenny glancing sideways at her, a teasing smirk on her face. “So, does that mean I get to see both sides of you sometime?”
Ken chuckled, a warmth spreading through her at the playful banter. “Maybe if you’re lucky.”
“Lucky, huh? I like the sound of that,” Wenny shot back, her laughter lightening the mood even further.
Ken knew they were only beginning to scratch the surface of their relationship, but now, with both her identities laid bare, she felt a newfound connection with Wenny. No longer just the cold, distant girl who rode a motorcycle, Ken was ready to embrace all the layers of herself, and she was excited to explore what the future held for them.
