The reception continued in full swing, laughter and music filling the air as guests celebrated Ken and Wenny’s special day. Despite the noise and excitement surrounding them, Ken’s focus was entirely on Wenny. She had promised herself that once the reception was over, they would find a quiet moment to be alone again. The rooftop kiss had been intense, but interrupted—and Ken was determined to make good on her promise to Wenny.
As they danced together, swaying gently to the soft music, Ken felt Wenny’s body relax against her. Wenny had her head resting on Ken’s chest, and they moved in perfect harmony, barely noticing the world around them.
Ken lowered her voice to a whisper, her lips brushing Wenny’s ear. “How does it feel? Being Mrs. Nakamura now?”
Wenny smiled against Ken’s shoulder. “Feels pretty incredible, actually,” she murmured. “But you’ll still have to get used to me calling you Kenji.”
Ken chuckled softly, pulling her closer. “I think I’ll survive. As long as I get to call you mine.”
Wenny’s hand slid up to rest on the back of Ken’s neck, her touch gentle. “You already do,” she whispered, glancing up at Ken with a soft smile.
For a moment, everything felt perfect. The lights, the music, the people—it all faded into the background. All Ken could think about was how right everything felt with Wenny in her arms.
Just as Ken was about to steal another kiss, a familiar voice broke through their bubble.
"Hey! The happy couple!" Jake called out, striding toward them with a playful grin on his face. "Come on, you two! You can’t spend the whole night just dancing with each other. Let’s get some more drinks and have a real toast."
Ken chuckled, glancing down at Wenny, who rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless. “We’ve got a wedding to attend, after all,” Wenny teased, pulling away from Ken reluctantly.

Later that Night
After hours of dancing, toasts, and well-wishes from friends and family, the reception finally began to wind down. Most of the guests were either too tipsy to keep going or ready to head home. Ken and Wenny had spent most of the evening mingling, stealing a few kisses here and there when no one was looking. But now, as the crowd thinned out, Ken knew the moment she’d been waiting for had finally arrived.
Wenny was talking to Haven when Ken quietly slipped behind her, wrapping her arms around Wenny’s waist and pressing a soft kiss to her neck. “Are you ready to get out of here?” Ken whispered, her voice low and full of intent.
Wenny glanced back at Ken, her lips curving into a knowing smile. “I’ve been ready for a while,” she replied, leaning into Ken’s embrace. “Lead the way.”
Ken didn’t need any more convincing. They quietly slipped away from the reception, unnoticed by the remaining guests, and made their way to the rooftop once again. This time, there would be no interruptions.

The Rooftop, Revisited
The night air was cooler now, but neither of them cared. The city lights still glittered in the distance, but the rooftop felt more intimate now, like it was their own private sanctuary.
Ken turned to Wenny, taking her hand and pulling her close. “No Bentley, no guests, no interruptions,” she murmured, her voice soft and teasing.
Wenny grinned, her hands resting on Ken’s chest. “Good. I’ve been waiting for this.”
Ken leaned down, pressing her lips to Wenny’s in a slow, deliberate kiss. It wasn’t rushed, like the one before. It was tender and full of the unspoken promises they had made to each other that day.
As their kiss deepened, Wenny’s arms wrapped around Ken’s neck, pulling her closer. Ken’s hands slid down Wenny’s waist, holding her firmly, their bodies fitting together perfectly. The passion from earlier returned, but this time it was mixed with the love they had for each other—the kind of love that had grown stronger with every obstacle, every moment they had shared.
When they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathless, their foreheads resting against each other as they shared a quiet, intimate moment.
“I love you,” Wenny whispered, her voice soft but full of emotion.
Ken smiled, brushing a strand of hair from Wenny’s face. “I love you more than anything.”
The city below continued its usual bustle, but up on the rooftop, time seemed to stand still. They held each other close, savoring the quiet, peaceful moment—just the two of them, together at last.
Ken had kept her promise, and as they stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, there was no doubt in either of their minds that this was just the beginning of their forever.
