It was 8 in the morning, and the soft hum of the TV filled the living room where William sat, completely absorbed in his cartoons. His little fingers gripped a small fork, spearing pieces of the neatly cut fruit Wenny had prepared for him. He giggled occasionally, his eyes wide with wonder at the animated characters bouncing across the screen. In the kitchen, Wenny moved around gracefully, making breakfast for the family. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling pancakes filled the air, creating a sense of warmth and comfort in their cozy home. It was a routine she loved—preparing a meal while her family slowly woke up to start their day.
Well, most of them had woken up.
Ken was still fast asleep in bed, sprawled across the sheets, looking completely at peace. Wenny smiled to herself as she watched her through the bedroom door. Ken had this uncanny ability to sleep through anything, curled up in a way that reminded Wenny of a fluffy balloon cat—cute, serene, and utterly relaxed. It always made Wenny’s heart melt a little, even when she knew she had to get Ken up soon.
“Ken, wake up,” Wenny called softly, walking over to the bed and brushing a lock of Ken’s hair away from her face. Ken mumbled something incoherent and rolled over, pulling the covers up higher.
Wenny chuckled, finding the sight adorable. “Come on, babe. We’re going to the mall today, remember? William’s already up, and breakfast is ready.”
Ken peeked one eye open, her expression sleepy and dazed. “Five more minutes,” she groaned, her voice muffled by the pillow.
“Five minutes, huh?” Wenny teased, leaning down to kiss Ken on the forehead. “Well, you better get up before William beats you to all the toys at the mall.”
That did the trick. Ken slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes and yawning, looking just as cute as ever. “Alright, alright. I’m up.”

A Day at the Mall
By late morning, they were out the door, ready to spend a fun-filled day together. The mall was buzzing with people, but Ken, Wenny, and William only had eyes for each other as they explored the shops, laughed, and played at the arcade. William’s excitement was contagious as he ran from game to game, his little face lighting up with joy every time he won a prize.
Ken was right there with him, showing off her own skills and winning even more stuffed animals than William knew what to do with. Wenny cheered them both on, her laughter ringing out as they played and enjoyed every moment of the carefree day.
After a while, they stopped for lunch at one of the mall’s best food spots, savoring delicious dishes that left them all satisfied. William munched happily on his favorite chicken nuggets, while Ken and Wenny shared a plate of sushi.
The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping. They bought toys for William, new makeup for Wenny, and even a few things Ken hadn’t planned on getting, but couldn’t resist. Whatever Wenny and William wanted, Ken made sure they had it.

A Family Dinner
The evening came, and it was time for a family dinner—a gathering that brought everyone together. Wenny’s mom, Tianna, was there, smiling warmly as she caught up with Wenny and doted on her grandson. Bentley was at the table too, playing with William, the two boys giggling and whispering secrets to each other as they ate.
Ken’s parents, Sean and Inne, were also present, happily chatting with everyone. The conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter, stories, and the comfort of being surrounded by loved ones. It was the kind of peaceful, heartwarming evening that reminded them all how lucky they were to have each other.
As they ate, Wenny glanced around the table, her heart swelling with gratitude. Ken caught her eye and smiled, knowing exactly what she was thinking without needing to say a word. It was a perfect day—filled with love, joy, and the simple pleasures of being together.
William and Bentley continued to play, their laughter filling the room, while the adults shared stories and memories. It was a night of peace, of happiness, and of the love that had grown stronger over the years.

End of the Day
As the night wound down, and after everyone had said their goodbyes, Ken, Wenny, and William returned home. William was already half-asleep by the time they tucked him into bed, his little body snuggled up with all the stuffed animals they had won at the arcade.
Ken and Wenny stood in the doorway for a moment, watching their son sleep peacefully, his tiny hand clutching a toy car. They shared a quiet smile before heading to their own room, hand in hand, feeling the warmth of the day settle around them like a comforting blanket.
“I love days like this,” Wenny whispered as she lay down beside Ken, her head resting on her shoulder.
“Me too,” Ken replied softly, wrapping her arm around Wenny and pulling her close. “Today was perfect.”
And as they drifted off to sleep, they knew that no matter what challenges came their way, they would always have days like this—days filled with love, laughter, and the unbreakable bond of family.
