Christian slowly stirred awake, his head pounding from the aftermath of last night’s drunken escapade. As his eyes adjusted to the light, he realized he wasn’t in his own bed. The unfamiliar, sleek interiors and the faint smell of coffee told him that he wasn't in his own condo.

He groaned softly, rubbing his temples as he sat up, trying to piece together the events of the previous night. The last thing he remembered was drinking to forget the confusing whirlwind of emotions about Vrix—and now here he was, waking up in the very place he wanted to escape from.

"Shit," he whispered.

The door to the guest room creaked open, and Vrix stepped inside, holding a glass of water and some aspirin. "Here," he said, offering them to Christian.

Kahit na alam niya na kay Vrix nga ito but watching him like this makes his heart beat faster. Christian took the water, hesitating for a moment before popping the aspirin. “Thanks..." he whispered after drinking the water and medicine. "For taking care of me,” he mumbled, his eyes avoiding Vrix’s gaze.

Nahihiya siya. Ano ba mga pinaggagawa niya kagabi? Wala naman siya sigurong sinabi, ano?

Vrix sat down on the edge of the bed, his expression unreadable. "No problem. You should've called me if you were going to drink like that." Shaking his head, "Kasalanan mo 'yan. Sino bang nagsabi na magpakalasing ka?" Vrix’s voice had a sharp edge, but there was concern behind it.

Christian let out a soft sigh, the silence between them thick with unspoken words. After taking a sip of water, he placed the glass on the bedside table and finally looked up at Vrix. “Why, Vrix?” His voice was soft but tinged with frustration. “Why have you been avoiding me?”

His jaw clenched slightly, his gaze flickering away for a moment before he met Christian’s eyes again. “I’m not avoiding you, Christian.”

“You are,” Christian countered, sitting up straighter, his frustration finally spilling over. “You’ve been distant. Cold, even. One moment you’re talking to me like we’re fine, and the next... it’s like you’re a different person. I don’t get it.”

Vrix ran a hand through his hair, his usual confident demeanor faltering. “It’s complicated.”

Christian let out a dry laugh. “Complicated? That’s your explanation? After everything? Just tell me the truth, Vrix. If I’ve done something wrong—if this is about what happened at the bar or something else—just say it.”
