Chapter 15: Confession

Nagmamadaling umalis si Christian na umuwi dahil sa pagod at pati na rin sa pagkalito. While he's walking towards home, he couldnt help but to think about the things happened these past few months. Mula nang makilala niya si Vrix, marami nang nagbago sa buhay niya. Hindi niya akalain na sa ganito kabilis na araw marami nang mangyayari. Mula sa simpleng tingin bilang kaibigan hanggang sa pagkakaroon ng damdamin na hindi niya inaasahan—mga damdamin na hindi niya maipaliwanag. For the first, he couldnt feel any more confuse than before. Gulong-gulo siya, pero hindi niya na rin maitatanggi ang lahat na si Vrix ang dahilan ng kakaibang saya at kilig nanararamdaman niya araw araw.

How could he deny that if he himself could feel it? Hindi lang iyon, even the people around them, they could feel it.

"Am I really falling for him?" he asked himself habang tinatahak niya ang madilim na daan pauwi. "Pero lalaki siya..." napakagat ng ibabang labi si Christian, napatingin sandali sa langit bago binalik sa daan. "Hindi ko naman akalain na may ganitong mararamdaman ako sa kapwa ko lalaki."

He thinks a lot these days. He repeated the pros and cons one by one in his mind. If he confesses his feelings, what if everything changes? What if Vrix won't accept him? Maraming mga bagay na dapat i-consider at hindi niya alam kung ano ba ang dapat niyang gawin. But on the other hand, what if there really is a chance? What if this is the thing that he is not looking for but he is still destined?

Christian sighed deeply as he ran his hands through his hair. Frustration could be seen in his eyes. "Kung aaminin ko na to, baka masaktan ako. But then again... what if it’s worth it?"

He remembered the times he and Vrix had been together—simple conversations, jokes that seemed to be mixed with deep meaning, and Vrix's gaze that seemed to know how to create a spark in his heart. Halos araw-araw, tila nagiging mas malapit sila sa isa't isa na hindi nila napapansin ngunit laging nakikita ng mga tao na nakapaligid sa kanila. Hindi lang basta lambing o biro ang nararamdaman niya ngayon, it was like... there's something deeper, something he had never expected to feel towards another man.

"Maybe it’s time to take a chance," he thought, deciding to face his feelings head-on.

As the weeks passed, Christian couldn’t help but notice how their connection with each other grew stronger. Every flirtatious joke, every lingering look, and every accidental touch seemed to make his heart beat faster. Parang nababaliw si Christian sa nangyayari, hindi na niya alam kung paano ito maiiwasan. The thought of being with Vrix, in a way he never imagined before, was both terrifying and exciting.

One evening, after a month of these confusing, but strangely thrilling moments, Christian found himself sitting with Vrix on a quiet park bench. The moon was high in the sky, casting a soft glow around them. Perfect timing, Christian thought, his heart racing as he prepared himself for what he was about to do.

Paano ba sila napunta sa lugar na ito? Hindi na maalala pa ni Christian dahil sa kaba ng kaniyang dibdib. Hindi niya alam kung tama ba ito o hindi.

Christian started to play with his finger as he looked at his feet. "Hey, Vrix," Christian started, trying to keep his voice steady, kahit na sobrang lakas ng kabog ng puso niya.

Hindi niya alam kung kelan ang huling beses na nakaramdam ng ganito, hindi niya alam kung kelan siya nakaramdam ng kaba na halos lumabas na ang kaniyang puso.

"Hmm?" sagot ni Vrix, looking at Christian, as if sensing that something important was about to happen.

Christian took a deep breath and looked at him, searching for the right words. Hindi niya alam kung mayroon nga bang tamang salita para mag-confess but then, he realy wanted to tell his feelings. "There's something I’ve been meaning to say..." Huminga nang malalim si Christian at saka pinilit na huminga nang malalim. "And it’s been bothering me for weeks. Actually, months na rin yata."
