"What?
"May kilala ako, gusto mo ba?
"Oh, huwag muna kayo maglandian. Alis muna ako!"
As soon as the door closed behind Perlas, Christian sighed deeply, feeling both relief and embarrassment. He glanced at Vrix, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
"Vrix, pasensya ka na talaga," Christian said softly, his voice still a little hoarse. "Si ate Pat... ganun talaga siya, especially when it comes to me. She means well, pero alam mo na..." umiwas ng tingin si Christian. "Medyo intense."
Vrix shook his head and smiled, stepping closer to Christian. "No need to apologize," he said in a calm, understanding tone. "I get why she's like that. She's just looking out for you, and I respect that. If I had a sister who cared about me that much, I'd want her to do the same." He smiled and played Christian's hair.
Christian felt a wave of relief wash over him. He wasn't sure how Vrix would react to Perlas' overprotectiveness, but it was comforting to know that Vrix understood. He smiled back, grateful for how patient Vrix had been throughout the whole ordeal.
Deserve ba niya ito?
Just as they shared a moment of quiet, Vrix's phone buzzed. He glanced down, seeing his secretary's name flash on the screen.
Sighing lightly, he answered, his expression growing a bit serious. "Yes?" he listened briefly, then nodded. "Alright, I'll be there. Sorry, got caught up with something."
After ending the call, Vrix turned back to Christian, his expression softening again. "I have a meeting," he said, his voice apologetic. Ipinatong ni Vrix ang kaniyang baba sa balikat ni Christian, "I'm going to be late, but I'll try to wrap it up as soon as I can."
Christian nodded, understanding. "Sige, I know you're busy," he said, though a small part of him was disappointed Vrix had to leave.
Before Vrix turned to go, he stepped closer, cupping Christian's face with his hand. His thumb gently brushed over Christian's cheek, and without another word, he leaned in and kissed him softly. The kiss was warm, lingering for a moment before Vrix finally pulled away.
"I'll see you later," Vrix whispered, smiling before heading toward the door.
Christian watched him go, the warmth of Vrix's kiss still lingering on his lips. The door clicked shut, leaving Christian alone in the room. He stood there for a second, staring at the door, before a wide smile crept onto his face.
His heart fluttered, and the kilig washed over him like a wave, ngunit kahit gusto niyang sumigaw o maglabas ng masayang tunog, hindi niya magawa. His voice was hoarse, still recovering from all the moaning and screaming last night.
"Ugh... bakit ba kasi napaka-wild mo kagabi," he muttered to himself, laughing lightly despite the soreness. He sat back down carefully, wincing a little but still feeling incredibly giddy. Even if he couldn't scream, he let out a small sigh of contentment, thinking of Vrix and how everything—despite the teasing and Perlas' intensity—felt right.
As he leaned back, feeling the soreness in his body, his heart was full.

The executives and managers exchanged worried glances.
"That's the third time you've made a mistake in your reports this quarter," Vrix said coldly, his voice low but threatening.
"Fix it. Now."
Mula noon, bawat isa sa meeting room ay naging mas maingat, hoping to avoid his wrath.
Vrix leaned back in his chair, clearly frustrated. Napatingin siya sa orasan, hoping the day would end sooner.
Just as he was about to dismiss everyone, lumapit si Kevin, ang kanyang secretary, halatang nag-iingat sa pagsasalita.
"Sir," Kevin started cautiously, "before we end the meeting, I just wanted to remind you that there's an event Christian needs to attend later this week."
Napataas ang kilay ni Vrix. "An event?" His tone was still firm, but there was a hint of curiosity.
Kevin nodded. "Yes, it's part of the partnership deal. 'Yung brand ni Christian, Xclusivo, is one of the sponsors for the charity gala. You'll both need to attend."
The thought of being with Christian in a formal setting started to calm him down.
"Noted," he said, his voice softening. "We'll discuss the details later."
With that, he dismissed the room. Everyone silently gathered their things and left quickly, relieved to escape the tense atmosphere.
Naiwan mag-isa si Vrix sa conference room, huminga siya ng malalim, running a hand through his hair. Nandiyan pa rin ang irritation, pero the thought of Christian and the upcoming event brought a small sense of calm. He couldn't wait to see him again, hoping na wala nang aberya next time.
