Chapter 21: Office Fun

Hindi alam ni Christian kung bakit pa niya kailangan pumunta ng office gayong maari namang sabihin sa kaniya sa call or text pero need pa niyang pumunta. Gusto pa naman niya magpahinga pa. Christian took a deep breath as he walked down the hallway toward Vrix's office. His waist still felt sore from their night together, every step reminding him of the wild intensity they shared. Marahan naman na minasahe ni Christian ang sore waist niya.

Christian clicked his tongue. "Bakit ba kasi sumobra?" inis na sambit nito.

Despite the discomfort, he pushed through, knowing Vrix had called for him. He could feel the curious stares from the people around, but he didn't care. He was there for Vrix, and that was all that mattered.

When he reached Kevin, Vrix's secretary, the man greeted him with a knowing smile. "Christian," Kevin started, "kailangan ka ni Sir Vrix. He's been in a bad mood. Maybe you can calm him down."

Kumunot naman ang no oni Christian kasabay nito ang pagtaas ng kilay. Nagtataka si Christian kung bakit siya ang mag-papakalma ngunit napatango na lang siya. "Bad mood? Bakit kaya?" he thought, though he didn't voice it. He nodded his head, signaling that he understood, and continued toward Vrix's office.

As he entered, he heard Vrix's deep voice, filled with frustration, scolding someone harshly. "I've told you a hundred times—fix it, or you're out!" Vrix growled. The room was tense, and the poor employee stood there, pale and terrified.

Kinilabutan naman si Christian dahil sa naramdaman niya na talagang galit si Vrix. Naawa naman si Christian sa tauhan kaya naman bumuntong hininga ito at saka tumikhim.

But the moment Vrix's eyes landed on Christian, everything changed. His gaze softened, and his expression immediately shifted. He gestured for the employee to leave with a curt nod, his voice firm but calmer. "Leave us."

The employee, still shaken, quickly gathered his things and rushed out of the office. He passed by Kevin and couldn't help but ask, "Bakit siya biglang napatigil?"

Kevin, keeping his composure, gave a small smile and replied, "Manahimik ka na lang."

Christian closed the door behind him, unsure of what just happened, but he could feel Vrix's mood shift the moment their eyes met. The tension in the room disappeared, replaced by a warmth he couldn't quite describe.

Kaagad naman na tumayo si Vrixn ang makita niya si Christian. Wala siyang sinayang na oras at inaalalayan si Christian papunta sa upuan, pero imbes na sa upuan mismo, sa kandungan ni Vrix siya naupo. Niyakap siya ni Vrix mula sa likod, mahigpit ngunit may lambing. Ramdam na ramdam ni Christian ang matigas na bagay sa ilalim niya, na walang iba kundi ang pagkalalaki ni Vrix na nagsisimulang magising.

Napalingon si Christian, sabay irap. "Ano ba, Vrix?" may halong inis ngunit alam niyang hindi na siya magugulat sa ganitong kilos ni Vrix.

"Don't worry about it. Nagagalit talaga iyan oag nariyan ka." Ngumiti lang si Vrix, ang mga kamay niya dahan-dahang naglalaro sa mga daliri ni Christian. "I called you here about the event, Love," bulong ni Vrix, ang boses malalim at nakakakiliti sa batok ni Christian.

Napasinghap si Christian, pilit na iniiwasan ang init na nararamdaman sa bawat paghaplos ni Vrix. "Event? Bakit kailangan ko pa pumunta rito para lang doon?" tanong ni Christian, sinubukang maging seryoso kahit ramdam niya ang dahan-dahang paglalaro ng kamay ni Vrix sa kanyang baywang.

"Kasi... gusto kitang makasama. At baka kailanganin mo ng mga detalye tungkol sa event," sagot ni Vrix, hindi pa rin tinatanggal ang yakap at unti-unti pa ring pinaparamdam ang init ng kanyang katawan.

Napailing si Christian, alam niyang hindi lang tungkol sa event ang dahilan ng pagtawag sa kanya. "So, event lang ba talaga?" tanong niya habang umiirap, pero alam niyang nakangiti siya ng kaunti.
