Refused

Saanvi was engrossed in her office work, having already completed her tasks for Mr. William, but her mind kept drifting back to those captivating hazel eyes from the previous night.

The memory lingered, until her mom's call interrupted her thoughts.

Saanvi answered calmly, "Hello, Mom."

Her mom instructed firmly, "Saanvi, come home early today, we have guests arriving."

Saanvi protested, "Mom, I have some work to be finish."

Her mom countered, "You're the CEO; the company won't collapse if you leave early today."

Saanvi reluctantly agreed, "Fine, There is no use in arguing with u."

Before she could ask why she needed to be there, the call ended.

Saanvi was well aware of her mom's intentions, but chose to ignore it and focus on her work instead.

After few minutes. Her PA anya entered her cabin

" Maam Mr Aayansh Singh Rathore is willing to meet u today" she said while keeping eyes down

" So he is one who was about sign deal with Mr William. Tell him that I am over occupied today and I can not meet him," Saanvi replied her fixing eyes back to laptop

" But Mam he is top business man..hhow cann- u reject his request" she asked suprisly

"Why I cannot, I am not his servant to follow his order," saanvi said sternly

"Mam, but-

DO WHAT I SAID MS ANYA , Saanvi said her in violent tone

"Okay mam" she said and left

After some time saanvi felt bad. She felt that she should not have shouted at her but situations made her sometime like that and she does not like to show her weaker side.

By finishing all her work, she left for home early as per as her mother order

"Mom, you can't make me do this," I protested.

"I'm absolutely determined - under no circumstances will I agree to marry," I declared resolutely.

"Fine, replied my mom non chalantly

I was shocked , "Fine"? I Repeated shocking

She leaned back on the sofa and said," yes I said fine"

I felt elated and immediately turned to go back to my room

" Saanvi Malhotra " Mom's cold rang in my ears

I fucking even it. My mom can't give up so easily . I am her daughter after all and i won't back out easily.

Him and his family will be arriving in a few hours so be ready. " Mom said seriously

" So you are willing to sacrifice your daughter's happiness for this marriage""!? I yelled completely about losing my cool

"I am your mother Saanvi, whatever decision I made for you, I have made them after careful thought" my mom exclaimed

"But mom, you know I don't want to get married and you also know the reason for it" I said, feeling a surge of bitter memories flooded in my mind

But as soon as the word left my mouth I regretted it

A wave of sadness and bitter past swept over my mom's face

Mom , "I'm sorry I did not mean to hurt you". I apologized, my heart sank with guiltiness

Saanvi ,"Go to room and get ready" Mom said , fixing her attention on something else

Taking a deep breath."okay mom I am not sure about this marriage but for your sake I will meet the boy. Said her in assuring tone

and left from there

"I said I wanted to meet her, what happened about it" I growled.

Rishi's expression turned cautious. "I tried but She refused."

My anger flared. Who did she think she was? Refusing to meet me?

My mind raced with strategies to reclaim my lost business. But one thing was certain - Saanvi Malhotra would pay for this.

Just then, my mother called me. "Aayansh, beta, I have news. We are going to meet Malhotras today ."

I frowned, confused. " For what purpose?"

"Your marriage beta," she announced..

My world stopped. Marriage?

"No mom we have talked about it, I am not interested in this!! I said in calm tone

It does not matter Aayansh u are coming and that's it and ended the call before I could reply

Losing over my mom, I left for home and thought to handle Saanvi Malhotra later!
