AUTHOR POV
Saanvi sat quietly in front of the mirror, the hum of the stylists around her only background noise to the storm of thoughts swirling in her head. The makeup brush swept across her cheek, soft strokes accentuating her delicate features, yet her mind wandered far beyond the room.
"Wow, just look at you! You’re absolutely stunning!” Pari exclaimed, unable to hold back her excitement.
"Aaj toh Aayansh bilkul hosh kho baithega!" Her teasing words did the trick, and Saanvi's cheeks flushed a deep rose, her usual steely composure cracking just a bit.
The door creaked open, and her mother and brother stepped in, their faces beaming with pride and love. Her mother’s eyes glistened with unshed tears as she approached her daughter.
“Meri bachi, tujh par kisi ki nazar na lage,” her mother whispered, wrapping Saanvi in a warm embrace.
The tension that had been bubbling just below the surface inside Saanvi seemed to melt away, if only for a moment.
Pari, chimed in with a wink, “Nazar toh lagegi hi, aur jo dekhega woh bas dekhte hi reh jaayega!” A burst of laughter filled the room, lightening the mood as Saanvi’s heart raced in anticipation of what was about to happen. Her life was about to change forever.
But was she ready?
★AAYANSH POV★
She’s going to be officially mine today.
Saanvi Singh Rathore. My wife.
The thought feels… strange, yet right. She’ll be staying with me from now on. Forever.
But still… am I doing the right thing? Is this what she wants?
“Chalo, murat ke liye der ho rahi hai!” I hear Mom calling from outside the door.
As Saanvi has already getting in room which in the hall and we were going from my ancestors house
“Coming!” I shout back, shaking off the doubts. There’s no time for second-guessing. I fix my sherwani and step out of the room,
and suddenly, everyone’s staring at me like they saw a dinosaur with four heads.
“Bhaiya, you’re looking so dashing!” Akshu says, running up to me, her eyes wide with admiration.
“Bhaiya, you’re looking so hot!” Aditya and Harshit chime in, perfectly syncing, making everyone around burst into laughter.
I smile, but it’s my mom’s gaze that gets me. She walks over, gently placing a dot of kajal behind my ear.
“Meri nazar se toh tu bacha rahega,” she whispers, her voice thick with pride. She kisses my forehead, and something inside me softens.
“All right, let’s go,” Dad says, already moving towards the door.
We stood outside the hall, and suddenly, music blares through the speakers. Before I can even react, Akshu, Aditya, Harshit, and Rishi are all dancing like no one’s watching.
Their laughter and moves are infectious, and soon, I’m pulled into the madness too. We’re all dancing like we got a lottery
Finally, we enter the hall, and I’m blown away. The decorations, the lights, the flowers—everything is perfect. A fairy-tale.
The soft glow of lights reflecting off the delicate flowers that draped the walls, the air thick with the scent of roses and jasmine. I had planned this—every detail, every corner of this place was exactly how I wanted it.
