A/N: SORRY TO MAKE YOU GUYS WAIT SO LONG! I HAD SOME TROUBLE WITH THIS CHAPTER: I GOT CONFUSED HALFWAY THROUGH AND HAD TO REWRITE IT. HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT!
Maka's POV
As soon as I get home, I plop down on the couch, ready to take a nap. I fall into a fitful sleep, fading in and out of my dreams. I halfway wake to the opening the door. Soul, who it obviously is, walks into the room and sighs when he sees me unconcious on the couch. "Oh, Maka. You fell asleep on the couch again? Well, no wonder, you're probably exausted. Pulling that stunt in front of everyone, I'm not surprised." My throat tightens as he kneels down and pokes me in the side, where it tickled my abdomen, and I giggled, tumbling off the couch. I push myself from the floor and stumble to the kitchen, Soul following behind me. I grab a blue cup from a cabinet as Soul does his own thing. Suddenly music wafts from behind me. At first, in the intro, it sounds instrumental, but then I recognise the song, setting my glass down as I smile."I'm not passive but aggressive,
Take note it's not impressive.
Empty your sadness like your dumping your purse on my bedroom floor
We put your curse in reverse."Soul, who catches my eye, grins crookedly, and my breath catches in my throat. "Milady, would you like to dance?" I put my hand in his and accepted, "Of course, good sir." He stations his other hand on my waist. "Must I remind you how terrible of a dancer I am?" He chuckles. "Well, I didn't get to dance with you at prom since you stormed off after Kim switched the labels on the jars. I tilted my head and shrugged, indicating that he was correct.
"And it's our time now if you want it to be
Maul the world like a carnival bear set free
And your love is anemic and I can't believe
That you couldn't see it
Coming for me."I kind of feel like that describes us. Well, there's no official 'us,' but I think... As cheesy as it sounds, I think I love him.
"And I still feel that rush in my veins
Twists my head just a bit too thin
All the people in those old photographs I've seen are dead.
And in the end, I'd do it all again
I think your my best friend
Don't you know that the kids aren't all
Kids aren't all right."As I place down my left foot, a sharp pain shoots up my ankle, and I lose my balance, feeling weightless until warm arms support me. I yelped in surprise as I stumble against his chest. Times like these are times where I wish I wasn't such a klutz. With an amused smirk, he looks down at me. "You really are a horrible dancer." "And you can't say I didn't warn you." Blushing madly, I try to detatch myself from Soul. A small shriek reaches my ears, and I look around in confusion. "Did you hear that?" He nods.
Selena's POV
"Goddammit, just kiss alre-" "shhhhhh, they'll hear you!" I cup my hand around her mouth. Luma was almost hyperventilating. We were sitting outside their open kitchen window. Maka's voice wafts from the kitchen. "Did you hear that?" I push my sister's head down. See, this is why I'm here. If I wasn't, Luma would've been caught ages ago. I'm the calm one. When we thought it was safe, we peeked through the window again. I squealed internally. "So the girl who defeated the Kishin and saved the freaking world can't dance. Who would've thought?" Maka playfully punches him in the shoulder and glares at Soul. Their faces were painfully extremely close together.
I could almost see Soul's indecision: whether to kiss her or not. It's so obvious that they like each other to everyone but them! I can read it in his face when he finally decides. Although only Luma would know what they're thinking, I can read faces pretty well. And I smile evilly, lifting my phone with the camera app open, when Maka decides to kiss back. A muffled thump was heard next to me at the same time the click could be heard, and I sneak off, dragging my unconscious sister along, my mission complete. All that's left is to just post it all over social media...
