He looks concerned, but then relaxes slightly. "You wouldn't eat me." I grin. "You wanna call my bluff? Go ahead."
He reconsiders, and decides to not pursue the subject. "What did you mean by an offer to stay with you?" I look at him as if he's speaking another language, raising my eyebrows. "Exactly what I said, of course. Would you like to come live with me in my cave? Fresh meat every day, because I go hunting, and special herbs grow around here. My grotto is rather excessive for even a dragon, I could give you a few rooms toward the front of the cave. Or the back, so I could defend you more easily? Which would you rather?"
He looks slightly stupefied. "Basically asking, would you rather die or stay with me, a dragon who's going to protect, feed, and help you." "Are you sure there's no strings attatched?" He clarifies. I shrug. "You seem pretty interesting, so if you kept me company, that would be nice. Because it gets pretty lonely around here. I have three other dragon acquaintances, but they live far away. They all have partners." I sigh as he hesitates. "Really, it's not that hard. If I were you, I'd just be glad I didn't eat you yet." "True. So.... I can live here?" he asks for the millionth time.

My temper explodes. "Yes! You can live here! Or you can die! It isn't that difficult!" He chuckles. "My, my, we do have a feisty one." I glare at him. "If I must remind you, it is you who is the captive here." "Cool it, tiny tits," I fume inwardly, trying to keep hold of myself, but this boy is testing my disdain to the limit. "I'll live with you."
