Feel Fits

Sometimes Soul would hear shouting, sobbing, and yelling from Maka's room, along with random thumps and more screaming.

He'd never dared approach her in one of her fits; when he'd accidentally entered her room during these periods, her eyes were wide and glinted violently. At other times, she was crying as if her heart had died.
Soul, sensitive to the deep affection and romantic attraction he had for her, usually felt guilty for not helping her. Or when she was happy, amazed, or shocked, she would shake her head and, roll her eyes, and mutter something about loving someone, which triggered pricks of jealousy that attacked his heart

He usually let this continue, until he couldn't take it anymore. Soul had to find out why she was like this. One time when she was sobbing, he eased open the door and crept in. He sneakily wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto his lap as he sat down on her bed. Soul could feel her small, shaking body stiffen on contact. "Maka, tell me." Maka's muscles discontinued clenching together when she heard his voice. He didn't need to say anything else for her to shift toward him, throw her arms around his neck, and wail into his shoulder. (How many of you were expecting them to kiss? Haha no.) When her sobs and tears finally abated, he repeated his previous words. Instead of breaking into tears, Maka only sniffed and weakly reached behind her, grabbing an extremely painful book. "Dayyyyyyyy.... Juuuuuuuuune.... MY OTP!!!!!!!!!!" At this, she, yet again, began bawling. (Comment if you know the book I'm talking about!)

Soul embraced her, whispering in her ear, and rocked her, settling her back down. Gradually her sobs decreased, and when he looked at her again, he realized that his pretty meister had dozed off on his chest. When she had finished crying, she realized that no one, not her parents, not Tsubaki, no one was ever able to calm her in one of her feel fits, as she called them. A very appropriate name, as it would seem. Soul was special. And Maka was worried about someone that might see that special light in him and take him away from her. She'd have to assert her claim soon, or the girls who were impatiently waiting for Soul to be alone might maul him.

Soul, assuming that Maka was asleep, picked up the small and surprisingly light girl on his lap and carried her over to her bed, once again snaking his arms around her waist from behind after he crawled into the bed between the sheets on the other side. He chuckled lightly at her sleeping, peaceful form. "Oh, Maka. Sometimes you can be such a handful. It would probably be so much easier if I didn't care, and much easier if I didn't love you."

Those words were the last thing Maka heard before she flipped over to face her weapon and drifted away from consciousness, barely managing a response. Soul was shocked when her reply came, as he didn't expect one since he assumed she was asleep. "I love you too, baka..." she muttered into his chest before her muscles went slack and she drifted into a dreamless bliss.

A/N: Honestly, by now, I think I'm just procrastinating Indecision by now. But seriously, I think I'm having writers' block with it! What do you guys want to see in it? And how are you all liking the fluff chapters? Do you want more fluff? More music? What do you all want to see?
