(A/N: I heard you all wanted more content! So I made this chapter long for you all! Anyway, please comment what you want to happen in future chapters of this!)

I sigh. "Dang, I'm still curious as to what you taste like." Resigned, I hold out a hand to the albino. "So what's your name?" "Soul... Soul Eater." I look at him strangely, as I know his surname is Evans, but I quickly dismiss it as a human thing.
I step one foot behind me so that they're lined up, straighten my elbows out so my arms perpendicular to my body, and bow gracefully, introducing myself. "Maka the Emerald Knowledge Dragon, humbly at your service." Call me a showoff, but I like being flashy. It's seriously fun. It also kind of contradicts my last few words.
'Humbly, more like proudly.' I inwardly scoff at myself.

My advanced hearing picks up wingbeats outside the cave. "Maka? Are you actually bat-crazy enough to talk to yourself yet from your loneliness? This'll be on the headline news for the thunder!" I hear. (A thunder is the term for, say, a flock. Basically, it's a dragon clan. You have your murder of crows, your gaggle of geese, your herd of sheep, but the thunder of dragons is just awesome. So is Angela. Reference there, btw.)
My eyes narrow noticeably. "Periwinky, don't." A blue-haired boy leaps in, shrieking "YAHOO!" just about every five seconds. "DON'T CALL YOUR GOD PERIWINKY!" "Yeah, sorry, I'm not a human, and I don't worship you. Imma call you whatever I like." I state. Soul looks confused. "Soul, this is the Periwinkle Narcissist Dragon, BlackStar. His people began to worship him, and it became a huge thing, and he got kinda... Arrogant, to say the least," I explain with BlackStar yelling, "YOUR GOD IS NOT ARROGANT!" I counter with, "Okay, explain why you think you're a god then." My temper flares. A raven-haired girl walks in after BlackStar, and apologizes to Soul for him.
Another voice joins the conversation. "Now, now, children, don't start fighting. If you do, you'll destroy things and make them asymmetrical." I sigh. "Kid, seriously? Again with the symmetry?" Excited, he replies, "YES! SYMMETRY IS LIFE! WE MUST SAVE THE EIGHT! THEY'RE GOING EXTINCT!" Death the Kid, a boy (well, dragon) with black hair and three white stripes that ran halfway around, stepped inside the cave. "Oh, heaven help us. Anyway, this is the Left-Right Half Dragon. Don't even ask." I mumble to Soul. Kid walked up to me and shook my hand. Then the other. He did the same with Soul. Some things never change. I laugh at Soul's face; he looks really weirded out. "I'm two winters younger than they, so they captured their humans first." I explain. (A winter is two human years, but it's a very short period of time for dragons. Winters feel slightly under a month for dragons.) He looks confused. "Their humans?" "Well, since you agreed to my offer, we're partners. It's almost like a contract. Kid was an unusual case; he somehow got two of them to agree. Our humans is just slang. We dont actually own you." I rethink that. "Well..." "MY HUMAN IS BETTER THAN YOURS! BOW TO YOUR GODDESS!" I calmly pull out a book and slam it onto BlackStar's head. "Cool it, periwinky." He falls to the ground, unconscious, his head spouting blood. Seriously, you'd think with all the blood cells he's lost he'd have died already! Meanwhile, Kid is running around, trying to make everything symmetrical. His humans, Patty and Liz, watched from afar, sweatdropping.

I decide to introduce Tsubaki first. I pull Soul along with me as I approach her. "Tsubaki, this is Soul. Soul, this is Tsubaki, BlackStar's human. She's the only one keeping him in line. Without her, I'm pretty sure that your kingdom would have been conquered already." She looks up at Soul and gasps, then kneels. "Prince!" Soul looks embarassed. "No need for formalities. Just Soul will do. I don't want to keep that name."
I smirk. "Are you just being kind, or do you really just want to erase your past?" He stares at me and blinks once. "No comment."
I move on to Patty and Liz. "These are the twins, Patty and Liz. Patty is obsessed with giraffes, for some reason." My sentence is certified by her pulling out a giraffe plushie and bellowing. After her shouts, I sweatdrop, and start with Liz. "Ahahahaha. Ahem. Anyway, this is Liz. She's a scaredy cat and a girly girl. She either convinces Kid to conquer and raid a village or just sneaks out to buy some clothes with Kid's treasure hoard." "Hey, a girl's gotta live!" I look at her skeptically. "Whatever," I decide.

After inteoducing everyone, Soul drags me away from the rest of the group. "So, I'm going to need more information about this 'partnership.' What are the benefits? The pros and cons? From what they said, I'm basically stuck with you!"
I nodded. "Basically. But," I started ticking off my fingers, "1. You can go anywhere on my back, and 100 miles is an easy flight for me. 2. It is now my job to protect you with my life. And with a dragon at your side, you're not going down easily without a fight. 3. You're going to let me pick you up at any time, because of my senses. In time, you'll gain your heightened senses as well. 4. Since you're partnered with a dragon, and the agreement is official, you're able to use magic." Noticing how Soul was about to ask how, she interrupted. "I can't tell you how to use your powers any more than you can mine! Oh, and one more thing: you also share my life span. Due to the contract, it would be in our best interest to protect the other person, because we either both survive or neither does." Soul's scarlet eyes closed as he tried to figure it out, and when he did, his face morphed into increduluity. "So you mean to say... We could live forever?! I giggle at his expression. "No. Everything that has a beginning must have an end. However, we can live for centuries, millennia, or even eons. We can't die of age. We don't get sick. Only specific items can kill us, like arrows fletched with phoenix feathers or a magically enhanced sword." His mouth opens and closes twice before he can manage words. "So, I can use magic, never get sick, and survive basically forever with you?" "Yep. And you can never break the contract. Personally, I think you're interesting, so we should be able to keep it lively without getting bored. Plus, with a partner, my magical power enhances, and so does my strength." I look at him. "It's a win-win situation." "But... Since you're a dragon, you could, like, steal any guy you want! Why did you pick me? I'd love to know!"

I sigh, rubbing my temples. "Why was I matched with an idiot? I'd love to know!" I mock under my breath. "Because we're soulmates, dumbass." He looks at me, openmouthed and confused. I start blushing slightly and cry out, "No, no! Not in the way you're thinking! well, depends but... No! What I mean is that our souls can resonate. We were apparently made to stand by each other's side. And if we want to live, I have to protect you at all costs. Except for my life, actually, because then you'd die too. Ah well, we can't have everything." Soul listened to me ramble, probably not picking up anything important. "So either way, we should g- We should all get to know each other." I call Kid and Blackstar, who bring their humans over, and we start up introduction games. Silly, I know, but it's the best way. Other than resonance, of course. I change my mind. "Guys, let's resonate!" Understanding my motives, everyone except Soul nodded. "Just go with it," I tell him. He'll figure it out.

As I'm the dragon in our partnership and I know what to do, I focus on my soul. Once I sense it responding, I look around and see Soul's soul beside me, and everyone else's around us. I reach out to Soul, since he's my partner now, my bonds with the others pale in comparison to the bond we have because of our contract. Electricity crackles between us, and our souls conjoin as one. In this instant, I am overloaded with information. Soul's memories, his likes and dislikes, his habits. Together we reach out to the others, sharing and giving information. The only unguarded one is Soul, who still doesn't know how to protect his mind from scrutiny.

Once we're done processing all the information, we release the link, and everyone returns to consciousness. I clap my hands together, calling everyone's attention to me. "So, who wants to go hunting?"
