IT HAD BEEN DAYS since the studio leak had hit the internet, and sabrina was still trying to figure out how things had spiraled so fast. the footage wasn't even scandalous—just her and jaxon talking about the song—but the way people online twisted it, you'd think they were caught in some kind of steamy romance.

sabrina walked into the studio with her shoulders already heavy from the week. the second she stepped inside, the tension hit her. ross, jack, and dylan were already there, messing around with their instruments, but the atmosphere wasn't as chill as it usually was.

and then there was jaxon. standing in the corner, arms crossed, eyes narrowed as he stared at his phone like it had just personally offended him.

"hey," sabrina said, forcing a smile as she dropped her bag next to her chair.

"yo," ross greeted with his usual cheeky grin, though something in the way he glanced between her and jaxon told sabrina that something was off.

she didn't have to wait long to figure out what.

"so," ross said, not even bothering to hide his smirk, "you guys seen the new fan edits?"

jaxon's jaw tensed, his eyes flicking to sabrina for a brief moment before he looked away.

"ross," jaxon muttered, his voice tight with irritation, "not today."

ross raised an eyebrow, strumming a few random chords on his guitar. "what? just saying, the jabrina stans are going crazy. they're making entire movies out of that studio footage."

sabrina rolled her eyes, though she could feel the heat creeping up her neck. she'd seen the fan edits—hell, she couldn't avoid them. every time she opened Instagram, there was a new video of her and jaxon, cut together like they were starring in a romantic drama. it was ridiculous.

"i swear to god, if i see one more of those edits," jaxon muttered, his voice low but sharp.

"hey, man, relax," jack said, shooting jaxon a pointed look. "we're just messing around. don't blow a fuse."

but it was too late. the tension was already thick in the air, and sabrina could feel it in every glance jaxon threw her way.

ross leaned forward, his grin widening. "come on, jax, admit it—deep down, you're enjoying this. you and sab... it's like a real-life rom-com."

"ross," jaxon snapped, finally losing his patience. "shut the fuck up."

the room went dead silent.

sabrina froze, her breath catching in her throat. she had never seen jaxon snap like that before—his voice was sharp, his eyes dark with frustration.

ross's grin faltered for a second before he raised his hands in mock surrender. "whoa. touchy, touchy. i'll drop it."

jaxon ran a hand through his hair, letting out a breath as he turned away from the group. "let's just get back to work."
