JAXON HADN'T left the studio since their conversation. the rawness of sabrina's words lingered in the air, cutting deeper than he cared to admit. he sat on the worn leather couch, guitar abandoned beside him, staring at his phone.

the clock ticked louder than usual as he waited. when the knock finally came, he stood quickly, almost tripping over his own feet to reach the door.

sabrina stood there, dressed simply in jeans and a sweater, her hair loose around her shoulders. her eyes met his, guarded but searching.

"hey," she said softly.

"hey," he replied, stepping aside to let her in.

they sat across from each other in the dimly lit living room, the silence heavy.

"i've been thinking about what you said," jaxon began, his voice steady.

"and you're right. i've been careless— with the press, with how i've handled things. but sabrina, i swear to you, none of it matters. the only thing that matters is us."

sabrina looked down at her hands, her fingers twisting together. "it's not just about lily, jaxon. it's about how hard this has been for both of us. and i don't know if it's going to get any easier."

"it won't," he admitted. "but i don't care. i'll deal with the noise, the headlines-whatever it takes. just... don't walk away from me again."

her chest tightened at the vulnerability in his voice. she met his gaze, the sincerity in his eyes pulling at something deep inside her.

"i don't want to walk away," she said finally, her voice trembling.

jaxon exhaled, relief flooding his features. "then don't."

the space between them disappeared as jaxon leaned forward, his hand brushing against hers. her breath hitched, her pulse quickening as he closed the distance, his lips hovering over hers.

"tell me when to stop" he murmured, his voice low and husky.

he kissed her neck and whispered dirty things in her ear, making sabrina's body tingle with anticipation.
