Scarlet's Pov

I don't have the fucking patience to wait for Declan to talk first, so I asked him a straight forward question. Declan looked at me confused but then he understood what was happening. Declan understood that I was interrogating him and he was definitely not amused by the situation.

"I was trying to work from the security system. I was enabling the bombs that were set up by the doors and in the restaurant." Declan answered. He may be right, but how come there was not even a single fucking explosion? If he was right and there was bombs set up then how the fuck we never encountered to one?

He saw my look, and he explained further "I can prove that I was enabling the bombs, there is a record of them in my computer." I just looked at him waiting for him to actually prove.

"Oh, you really are doing this? Liam, why the fuck are you not saying that I would never betray Xaden?" Declan said looking at Liam, but Liam knew better than that, he knew that Xaden had his suspicions about Declan.

Liam just answered, "I can't double cross the orders from Scarlet. Xaden gave her the permission to take matters in hand. And by Don's order she has permission to do anything she wants, I can't even cross that." And with that Declan looked at me, and he started taking out his laptop. He brought a laptop on the desk and he started showing me the work that he has done, how many bombs he has enabled so we would not die from explosions.

At some point I was also getting confused, in the bottom of my heart I knew that it was not Declan, but I needed to be sure so I can know who I can truly trust and who I can't while Xaden was not here with us. Even though Xaden's warnings were still ringing in my ears, I had trust in Declan.

"Declan, I gave Liam the shipment and other stuff for him to take care of. And I need you to be my eyes and ears, that is with either cameras or with fucking spies, I don't care." I looked at Declan while explaining, he looked calmer, relaxed, poor guy I scared the shit out of him. Giving him work was my way of saying sorry, but it was necessary.

"I still can't believe you wanted to interrogate me. Why the fuck did Xaden gave you the mafia when it was Liam's right?" Declan asked, I knew that this question was coming and I also explained to Liam but I had to also tell Declan.

"It is not my place to tell you why he chose me, he will explain everything once he wakes up. It doesn't mean that he doesn't trust you guys, but- but it just means that-" I  did not finish my sentence when Declan and Liam said at the same time, "That he cares for you more than he told us."

I looked at them, and they were smirking. Fuck, I never realized confessing that out loud would feel so good, but it felt nice admitting that to them. I have just realized that I was still in my dress, I looked down at my hands and legs, the stained blood was dried on me and on my dress, when I saw that everything came back flashing to my mind and I was on the verge of crying, but I couldn't do it now, not now.

I looked around at the guys and I said, "You guys can stay here, I don't mind. I actually don't want to be alone in the house. Liam, Alice is probably here too, you guys can stay here. I will take care of that torture thing, let Jay know I am going to the basement." They nodded their heads, Liam texted something on his phone, I'm guessing to Jay and before they left Liam said, "If you need something, just shout our names and we will be there." I nodded my head and they left.
