Chapter 31: Handling Business

Scarlet's Pov

"What do you mean no? I have to fucking feed you guys everything that you need to do?" I said, I was so mad at these people, that they can't even get a job done without me having to tell them.

Dante looked at the guys and then he looked at me and said, "Well, fucking shit, don't yell, you know I get more nervous when you are like that. You know I can't do that, they will know it's me automatically, I need one of the guys to help me handle the business."

I looked at Jay and he nodded his head. I knew he would do it and I was trusting him. "Jay would take care of it with you, Dante. Declan would erase the police report," I said while looking at Declan and he nodded his head, then I continued talking, "Jay, if it's not only one person who knows, kill everyone who does."

"Consider it done, Donna." Jay said.

"Wait, Donna? What the fuck does that even mean?" Dante asked. Oh, he doesn't know, but how would he?

As I was about to answer him Alice answered from the stairs "Scarlet took Xaden's place, until he wakes up, so everyone is respecting her and scared shitless that she would kill them if anyone did something wrong."

I looked at Alice and I calmed down, no way she was thinking like that. "Alice, guys, you know I would never kill you guys. Don't say it like that, I am just being protective because this is something new to me too and I hope not for long. And no one needs to call me Donna, I already mentioned that." I said the last part looking at the guys, they didn't need to call me Donna for me to understand that they were showing me respect. Respect was not with just titles, but rather with actions and so far everyone has passed that stage.

"What do you mean? I am so confused, why the fuck didn't one of the guys took his place?" Dante was still asking, I rolled my eyes, this guy never understands anything, he needed details.

"Because he loves her." Alice and Liam said it at the same time.

Dante was so shocked that his mouth was open and he started running towards me with open hands. He jumped on me and hugged me, which of course I hugged him back but he already forgot why he was here.

"Dante, now is not the time for this. Xaden is in a coma, so I am not even happy to admit that. Plus fucking remember why you came here." I said and pushed him away from me.

"Right, I forgot." He said, looked at Jay and he started speaking again, "Let's get going then before more people learn about this shit." As Dante said that Jay and Dante left together to handle the business, I hope nothing bad happens.

Of course, I care for them, I am starting to get attached to every single one of them and I would never want anything to happen to them, especially because of me.

"Kai, I have something to do with you, meet me in the office." I said, Kai nodded his head and he went upstairs to my office.

I saw that Liam, Declan, and Alice were sitting on the bar, I guess they sat down after Jay and Dante left. I needed to talk to Alice, we haven't been talking for some time, but at night I would talk to her. I looked at them and they were drinking whiskey. I wanted to create a bond with them too but Kai was waiting for me.

"Just like old days guys, everyone gets to work. Finish what you guys are doing, at 8pm we will meet here in the living room at the bar all of us. Xaden is not dead, we should not mourn like this, he would've been pissed if he saw us like this. We will continue our days like nothing happened." I said, looking at everyone, because it was right, we couldn't be sad like this until Xaden woke up.
