Chapter 44: Drama that I want no part of

Hello my loves, 

I initially wanted to update my book cover so this chapter would make much more sense, but unfortunately my book cover is still not ready and I couldn't make you guys wait any longer. 

For this chapter, please keep in mind that the new book name will be "Shadows and Smoke" and this chapter is according to that. As I mentioned before, there is nothing changing on the plot just the name of the book is changing and this chapter includes that part. 

I hope you will enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing.

Xaden's pov

I had no idea what happened inside, but Jay looked like he wanted to murder someone. Technically, he always looks like that, but there was something else in his eyes. I was not sure I wanted to be part of whatever was going on.

Enzo was outside with us as well, after the whole pregnant situation I wanted to make sure Liam was not going to kill Enzo, and Enzo was going to keep his mouth shut. If he was smart, he would keep his mouth shut for Scarlet's sake.

Enzo looked like he also didn't want to be part of this. So, he excused himself and went inside the house. I needed to get used to him going in and out of my house however he pleased, because this was going to be part of our ordinary life.

"What got up in your ass?" Kai asked. I actually didn't think Jay was going to answer Kai for a minute.

Jay looked his surroundings and when he saw it was only me and Kai, his jaw ticked and said, "I don't want Beatrice here."

Who the fuck was Beatrice? Oh, wait, she was the maid of Gio. That brought him food outside, and everyone saw the video that Declan sent in the group chat. That guy, I shook my head, he was always the playful one in our group. But everyone needed someone like Declan to lighten up the mood of the group. Especially when Jay was part of the group.

"I can't exactly tell that to Enzo, or Gio in fact. Why? What did she do wrong?" I asked. However, I really couldn't say don't bring her to my house when I don't have a legit fucking reason.

Jay just growled. I arched an eyebrow at him, waiting for him to continue talking, because I have no fucking idea what that growl was for.

"She's a little girl getting tangled in a mafia world. I don't want her here," Jay said again.

"Is there something going on between the two of you?" Kai asked, eyebrows raised. Well, he asked whatever I was thinking, though I didn't want no part of that shit.

"No," Jay said, and he didn't continue talking.

"Are you sure? Because Declan just sent another video in the group chat." Kai said smirking. Now, I got curious, I wanted to see what that video was about.

I didn't get the chance to open the video when Kai started laughing and said again, "Oh my god! You did not just kiss herr! Jay? My brother Jay? Who never laid a hand on a girl? Kissed a girl?"

Oh, fuck no, I wouldn't even believe that even if I saw it with my own eyes.

Well, maybe I would, because the video that Declan sent was fucking real. I didn't have anything to deny for.

"This is a Drama that I want no part of. You guys take care. Jay?" I asked, and he looked at me, "Wrap it before you tap it. We don't want junior Jay's running around with Beatrice's attitude."
