Chapter 36: That 99.9%

I am updating one chapter this week, I have essays and homework with due dates, I didn't get the chance to write more chapters. But I promise there will be one or two more chapters next week.

Scarlet's Pov

Few hours ago.

I opened my eyes and the first thing that I noticed was that I was looking at a ceiling, meaning I was in a bed. Which means, I was not dead, I didn't fucking die. Fuck, my back was in a lot of pain. I looked around and there was Alice sleeping on the chair beside me.

There were no machines connected to me or anything, there was just an IV on my hand. I sat up slowly and remembered everything that happened in these two days. I looked at my hands but they were wrapped in white bandages. I looked at my thighs and they were also in the same situation.

I did have pain everywhere, but it wasn't that bad, I would still be able to walk and sit. I didn't want to wake up Alice, so I started getting down from the bed. I needed to see Xaden. It has been a long time since I needed to see him.

As I was going to get up, my door opened and Liam entered, "Shit, I didn't know you woke up. What are you doing? Lay back down." He said, coming towards me.

"I am fine, Liam. I was tortured, nothing to worry about, I can walk." I said, waving my hand. I got up and Alice woke up and she got up in an instant. She ran towards me and hugged me, I winced in pain.

"Fuck, I'm sorry, I forgot. I just miss you so much, I was so scared that something happened to you. How are you feeling?" Alice asked, taking my hands in hers.

"I'm fine. Did you... did you see my scars? Is that why they are covering them?" I asked, looking at Alice. I didn't care that Liam was there, he would see them anyway.

"I didn't see them. The doctors wouldn't let me in, but I know they covered them with ointment so it won't leave a scar on your body. At least that's what they said." She answered, but Liam was silent for the whole conversation, I guess he didn't want to interrupt us.

I looked at Liam and said, "Liam get me the doctor to remove these, please." Liam looked hesitant but he knew I would not listen so he just nodded his head and left the room.

"Alice, please tell me you have the dagger with you." I looked at Alice, and she shook her head.

"I gave it to Xaden, please don't hate me. I just couldn't keep it, I was feeling very bad. I needed to take care of something at least. He already sent it to get it tested." Alice said, I closed my eyes, fucking hell! But I was not mad at Alice, she panicked and did what she thought was the right thing.

I wasn't going to ask if she told him whose blood it was, I am sure even if she didn't tell him, he already figured out whose blood that was. Everything aside, I needed to see him, I needed to hug him, I missed him a lot and I am sure we will figure it out whenever the test results come back. I just hope he is not mad or pissed at me for not telling him.

"I don't hate you, Alice. I would never hate you, I understand why you did it and it's fine. He was going to learn about it anyway, I just hope no one else knows until we get the test back." I answered Alice.

"No one knows. I know that he promised me." Alice said. She looked at me again and continued talking, "Do the... do the scars bother you?"

I shook my head, "No, I was never a girl who really cared. You know what we have been through, a few more scars would mean nothing to me. I had the worst scar on my face at a very young age. Who gives a fuck if I have a few more? Plus they would suit my name more and I look badass." I giggled, and shook her head but giggled with me.
