#92 Gabriel Landeskog (Part 1)

Matt Duchene had invited you and your boyfriend Gabriel Landeskog to a pool party. At first you didn't want to go since you were deathly afraid of water. When you were younger you had fell into your cousins 4 feet pool by accident and almost died. When you had made it to the emergency room, you had water in your lungs. The doctors didn't know if you were going to survive, but with a miracle, you did. Since then you were always scared of swimming pools. You didn't want to let Gabriel down so you said that you'll go.

''Y/N baby you ready!?" You heard Gabriel scream.

"Yup I'm all ready! " you screamed back.

Gabe came downstairs wearing black shorts and a blue tank top with the words 'Suns out Guns out' on it. You couldn't keep your eyes off of him and didn't realize you were staring at him until he came over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist.

"Checking me out huh?" he asked you, smirking.

"Huh? Um. Was I? I didn't know" you said trying to get loose of his grip but he held you tighter.

"Yeah you were and Do I look that hot?" he asked still smirking.

"Yes you do." you said quickly and pecked him on the lips. It wasn't a quick kiss, it was more like a long kiss that you were trying to deepen. Gabriel had deepened the kiss already, and while knowing he was going to push you against the wall, you pulled away and smirked teasing him. He let out a groan and you laughed, walking through the door to his car.

When you guys got to Matt's, you saw the other teammates and their wives. As Gabe went over to Matt and Nathan, you went over to Ashley, Matt Duchene's girlfriend.

"Hey Y/N!" Ashley said to excitedly before pulling you into a hug.

"Its been like forever since we've seen each other!" you screamed to her excitedly before hugging her once again.

You and Ashley were best friends and you basically told her everything. You hadn't seen her in a few months because of how busy your life had gotten with your job.

"So hows life with Matt?" you asked her before taking a sip of your punch.

"It's fine I guess. " she replied.

"So are you gonna swim Y/N? " Ashley asked you teasing you.

"Of course I am" you replied to her back sarcastically and you both let out a laugh.

" What if someone throws you into the water? That pool you see there? Its 5 and a half feet deep." Ashley told you and you turned around and looked at the pool, and instantly became nervous.

"Oh my gosh. I swear if anyone does that, Im gonna kill them."

After a while of talking, Ashley brought up Gabe.

"Looks like Gabe is enjoying himself." Ashley said pointing at Gabe with her wine glass.

You looked over and saw Gabe dancing to the song Fireball by Pitbull and basically jamming to it with a beer in his hands and you knew he was drunk. You started laughing at him, laughing at how unbelievable he looked. While laughing, you felt something being thrown at you and you saw it was a blue tank top. You looked up and saw a shirtless Gabriel coming up to you.

"Oh shit." You said to yourself knowing he would do something unbelievable especially since he was drunk. You started running and he was running after you. You started slowing down as you were becoming short of breath. Next thing you knew, Gabe had you over his shoulders and you trying to loosen from his grip.

"Gabe let go of me! " you screamed at him laughing from the punch being probably mixed with vodka.

"You were laughing at my dancing weren't you? Well you need to get your punishment for that." he said smirking at you. You could see he was approaching the pool and you instantly became alerted that he was going to throw you in.

"GABE NO! DONT THROW ME IN PLEASE! " You screamed at the top of your lungs to him but he replied back saying "Too late. " and threw you in.

The pool was very deep. You started to fight for air instantly. The memories of you falling, and how you felt that day when you fell in your cousins pool all came back to you. Wailing your arms, you try to swim to the surface although you didn't know how to swim.

When you finally came to the surface, you found the stairs, and went up it. Once you were out of the pool, You saw everyone laughing at you. Including Gabe. You looked over to Ashley who was shocked. You became so embarrassed and started crying, walking over to Ashley.

"GIVE ME A TOWEL AND HURRY!" you heard her scream to one of the bartenders. Once the bartender came back with a towel, Ashley wrapped it around you, and you instantly started crying some more. Ashley hugged you and you looked over to Gabe who was still laughing.

"Damn my girlfriend can't swim!" Gabe said to everyone and you heard another roar of laughter. You started to sob. You wanted to leave and you told Ashley.

"Okay here I'll take you home" she said and you walked over to the door that lead you inside the house. You walked past Gabe, and he saw you were crying. His laugh quickly turned into a worried expression. He finally sobered up.

"Y/N!!" you heard Gabe scream and you started to run.

" Shit. I'm so sorry! I don't know why I did that or said that!! " He screamed to you, wanting you to listen but you didn't. You ran through front door when you felt his hand on your arm turning you around.

"Please listen to me! Y/N."

"No Gabe. You knew my past. And you know what makes it worse, is your stupid comment right after." 

"I'm so sorry." he whispered to you, with tears coming out, trying to hug you, but you backed up.

"You knew how sensitive it was for me not being able to swim. And especially almost dying. And that joke you made.. I can't believe you would say that.

"I hope that you find a girlfriend better than me that can actually swim. " you said quietly before turning around and walking away.

With that you left, with tears in your streaming down your face.
