The sun is taunting them, indicating that, another day is almost over.
"Alright, this is getting annoying." The witch sighs.
"You have noticed it too, right?" Rufus nods.
"Amateurs. Let´s keep going for a while and then introduce ourselves."
The duo keeps walking till they stop, in front of a cliff.
"Stalking is a crime, you know." Sag turns around, however, no one seems to be there. The witch sighs again. Now, a few men leave there hiding spots.
"You really are a blood-crying witch. I thought the soldiers were just making up stories, again. But then I saw you put down that scarf. I bet the king will pay a good amount, when we bring him your head."
One of them says.
"Hard pass, I would like to keep my head. I just came back from the dead and don´t have the strongest urge to go back."
The men seem to be confused, by the person´s words.
"Wha...well, whatever."
He takes out his sword and the other guys are doing exactly the same. Rufus moves in front of the witch and throws two men, who where running towards them, to the side. Suddenly, he gets shot by an arrow. Someone seems to be sitting in the tree, looking down on them. The beast runs towards the tree, leaving Sag with the other men. One of them is about to hit the person, with his sword, but misses, as they jump to the side and slice his arm, with their axe. The man screams and his friends come to his rescue, before Sag could hit him again. Rufus, in the meantime, has found the archer. He clims up the tree, bites the man in the arm and throws him to the ground, almost hitting the little person.
"Hey!"
The man, in front of the witch, takes the distraction to his advantage and hits Sag aginst his shoulder, leaving a big cut. Rufus wants to help him but a handful of other men stand in his way. They start attacking the beast. Meanwhile, Sag´s finished his little fight and decapitates one of the men attacking the wolf, from behind. As one of his friends try to take revenge, from the side, Rufus smacks him, throwing him against a tree.
"You almost hit me, again."
The witch complains, dodging an attack and kicking the attacker to the ground.
"Do you mind? We´re having a conversation here."
His eyes lightly glow and he smashes his axe into the man´s head. Sag turns around and sees Rufus shaking one person, who is screaming a lot, around, with his mouth. The screaming gets replaced by a cracking sound and then everything´s silent. Sag sighs.
"I didn´t want to kill them all so fast. I wanted to ask them about the king, they were speaking about."
Rufus just stares at him, clearly not giving a single care, about that. He seems more concerned about the cut, on his friend´s shoulder. Sag follows his gaze. "That´s your fault,"
he pokes the wolf between his eyes.
"We need to learn how to fight together, without killing each other. Maybe we should have some signals, or something."
The witch takes out some bandages, out of Rufus´ bags and ties them around his arm. He puts back the rest and they go back on their way.
