Episode thirty-three

The battle finally found it´s end. The sun is leaving the horizon and it´s getting darker. Pascal, now without helmet, comes closer to the laying wolf, on which´s back the witch is resting. To no one's surprise, Sag got rid of his helmet and boots, as soon as the battle ended. "Sooo, when were you going to introduce your friend?"
Rey now also finds his way to the side of the beast. Rufus looks at them both, licking his paw clean. "Haven´t I done that already?" "No, you haven´t"
"Well,"
he sits up,
"this is Rufus. He is something like my spirit or guardian, if you wanna call it that."
The witch points at his tattooed arm and Rufus´ face and side, "We´re tied together, due to a spell I´ve casted, a few years ago."
"Ahh, so that is what that means. I was wondering what kinda meaning your tattoo had."
Rey inspects the side of the wolf, who keeps a close eye on the void walker.
"So, he´s your pet dog? Shouldn't you put a collar on him, or something?"
Pascal asks.
"What? No, why does everyone say that?"
he falls back on his back. The wolf grunts.
"Rufus is not my pet. We´re friends."
"Alright, well, I will get patched up now. See ya guys later."
Rey waves and leaves the three alone.
"....Soni?"
"Yeah?"
"Can you patch me up too? My whole body hurts."
The witch whines.
"Ehh, sure, I guess. You´re coming down from there?"
"No, I can´t properly walk and I am tired as hell."
"Alright. Then I will talk to the others and then come back with some bandages and stuff." "Thank you. Oh! And also, ask Kias for villain juice."
Pascal turns and chuckles.
"I don´t think he carries that with him, on a battlefield. Be right back."
The sound of his heavy boots, stepping over the dirt, can be heard and fades the further away he gets, to the witch. Sag´s attention wanders to the furry creature, he´s laying on.
"Thank you, for helping out. You did good today."
he runs his fingers through the soft fur and slowly drifts off to sleep.
