So far, they don´t seem to be lost again.
"Soo, you take, being strange, very serious, huh?"
"What?"
The witch turns to the man.
"Well, you travel with a beast, that isn´t your pet nor servant, you constantly have blood leaking from your eyes and you are walking around, without shoes, ..in winter. Yet, you don´t seem to care about both. Your skin is as pale as the moon, with some red and really weird looking spots. Did I forget anything?"
"Yeah, to mind your own damn business. I am helping you, but that doesn´t mean we are friends, or something. So quit snooping around."
"I´m sorry. I just thought it would be nice to have a conversation, while we're wandering around."
They walk along a frozen lake.
"If you wanna talk, how about, you introduce yourself. Or tell us what we´ll get for helping you." "Oh, you´re right! How could I forget? My name is Trevor. I run a little shop for both, humans and creatures, called Trevor´s mysteries in the town called Skara. Pleasure to meet you." Trevor bows, as he finishes his introduction.
"You´re really fond of yourself, if you name your store after yourself."
"Yes..., wait, no! That´s not the reason-"
The witch snickers but doesn´t really listen to Trevor´s words anymore. Rufus comes to a hold. "What´s up, big boy?"
Sag looks into the direction, at which the wolf is pointing with his paw. In front of them is a big gap, caused by the frozen lake, but there is no sight of a bridge. However, on the other side seems to be a town. The town they´ve been looking for. This time, they can´t just jump down, without breaking a foot or into the ice. Especially not, while carrying these things.
"Is there a bridge, further ahead, or does the lake stop somewhere soon?"
"I don´t know."
"No wonder you got lost."
Sag sighs and leaves Rufus and the man behind.
"Hey!"
Both of them start following the small person. Sag takes out his sword and throws his improvised bag to the ground. "..what are you doing?"
"Building us a bridge."
With these words, he starts hitting a tree, which is standing close to the lake.
"Hey! You can´t just start chopping down everything you'll find."
The witch draws his sword close to the man´s throat once more, with toxic glowing eyes and a devious smile.
"Whatch me."
The calmness, in their voice, sends showers down Trevor´s spine and he becomes speachless. Sag continues hitting the tree again, not paying attention to the man anymore. In that moment, Trevor didn´t know if he made the right decicion to ask this person, in front of him, for help. Just this one little moment alone, was scaring him enough to overthink if he was really talking to a witch, like the others, he´s talked to before. Or if he was speaking to a menace. Maybe it was the witch´s voice, or their eyes, but he felt something that made him feel sorry, for those, who dare to cross this person´s way.
