Bronny's POV:

The locker room was full of excitement. We'd just won, and the guys were hyped, patting each other on the back, towel draped over their heads, while some were already getting dressed. I sat at my locker, wiping the sweat off my forehead, feeling a mix of adrenaline and relief. We played hard tonight, and it paid off.

I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone, smiling to myself as I clicked the FaceTime icon and waited for Sophia to answer. A few rings later, her happy face popped up on the screen.

"Hey, you." I said, smiling wide.

"Hey!" she said with joy. "You killed it out there! I was watching the whole thing in my dorm room with Angeline!"

I couldn't help but smile even wider. "Thanks. Felt good out there."

Sophia laughed, and I could see the happiness in her eyes. "You did amazing, Bronny. You're starting off well this season!"

"Appreciate it, baby." I said, leaning back against the locker. "Listen, I've got something I wanted to talk to you about."

"What's up?" she asked softly.

"So, the next game's going to be a home game as well. It's in two days... on your birthday." I said, watching her reaction closely.

Her eyes widened a little, and she smiled softly. "Oh, is it? You'll be playing that night?"

"Yeah, but I wanted you there. Remember when I said I have a surprise planned? It's all gonna go down at that game." I tried to remain calm, but I could feel the excitement building up inside of me.

Her eyes lit up. "Oh, the surprise is at the game?? Bronny, you don't have to do all that—"

"I want to." I cut her off, smiling. "Trust me. You're going to love it. Just be there, okay?"

Sophia looked super nervous, almost as if she wanted to say no. But, I knew deep down she wanted to be there.

"Okay... I'll be there. Can I bring Angeline with me?"

I nodded immediately. "Of course. I'll get you both court side seats. Don't worry about paying for anything."

"Bronny, you don't have to pay for both of us—"

"It's your birthday, Sophia." I interrupted again. "I've got this."

She laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. "Alright, fine. We'll be there."
