Sophia's POV:

I kept a hold of Bronny's hand as we were leaving the doctor's office. There were some people outside who started looking in our direction, so Bronny and I started speed walking to the car.

We got in his car, put our seatbelts on and left.

"That was close." I said, turning to Bronny. "Do you think someone recognized us?"

"Nah, I don't think so." Bronny replied. "We were walking pretty fast and had our sunglasses on. I think we're good."

"I still can't believe we're having a son." I smiled, still admiring the ultrasound pictures.

Bronny smiled softly, keeping his eyes on the road as he drove. "Yeah, it's crazy! A little man. You excited?"

"Excited?? I'm thrilled!" I replied, holding the ultrasound photos to my chest. "Everything feels more real now!"

Bronny nodded. "Facts, it's starting to hit me as well. I mean, knowing you're pregnant is one thing, but actually seeing the baby on the screen... that's different."

I glanced at him, noticing the small smile appearing on his face. For a moment, I could see how excited he was to be a father, even if he didn't fully say it.

As I'm taking photos of the ultrasound to send to Angeline, Bronny cleared his throat.

"Hey, I noticed something when the doctor was doing the ultrasound."

I looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "What?"

"I saw your birthday on the screen. You're turning 21 soon, right? November 11th?"

I blinked in surprise, then nodded. "Yes, in a couple weeks. I didn't think you would remember."

Bronny chuckled. "Of course I remembered. You think I wouldn't know my own girl's birthday?"

I blushed at the sound of him calling me his girl. "I wasn't expecting anything. I mean, with everything going on, it's easy to forget things like that."

"Well, I didn't forget. We should do something for it." he said, with determination in his voice.

"What do you mean?" I asked, turning to face him fully in the passenger seat. "With the season starting and... you know, us trying to law low... I don't want you to draw anymore attention."

He shook his head. "Nah, we can keep it lowkey. I was thinking maybe just a small thing with you, me, and a few of your close friends and family."

I looked down and started playing with my fingers, considering the idea. It had been a while since I thought about celebrating anything, especially with all the drama surrounding our situation. "That sounds nice. I wouldn't mind something small."

Bronny glanced at me with a smile. "Yeah? You sure you wouldn't want a bigger party or anything?"

I chuckled. "I think I'd like something small. Plus, we'll probably have to start planning for the baby soon too."

He nodded in agreement. "You right, you right."

We drove in comfortable silence for a few more minutes as we began to approach the USC campus. Bronny slowed the car, pulling into the drop off area near my dorm.

"I still can't believe we're going to be parents." I said softly, staring out the window. "It's still feels unreal to me."

Bronny chuckled. "Welcome to adulthood, Soph. It's a lot, but you're handling it well."

As we pulled up to the dorm entrance, I unbuckled my seatbelt and gathered my things. Bronny leaned over, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek before I got out.
