Jeanie's POV:

I got to work from home today which was very much needed. I get so tired of going into that office everyday. It's days like today where I can't wait to step down as president and give the title to my daughter so I can enjoy retirement.

Anyways, I was upstairs sorting through some paperwork when I heard Taylor's voice erupt from downstairs. The yelling and banging were impossible to ignore. She was furious.

I set the papers aside and made my way to the staircase, listening closely.

"I HATE HIM SO F*CKING MUCHHH!!" Taylor screamed, her voice damn near shaking the whole house. I quickly ran downstairs. What in the world could've set her off like this?

As I reached the living room, I saw her pacing back and forth, phone in her hand, her face red with rage. Something was clearly very wrong.

"Taylor, what on earth is going on??" I asked, walking into the room.

She didn't even look at me first, too caught up in whatever storm was raging inside of her.

"Unbelievable. UN-F*CKING-BELIEVABLE!" she muttered, finally turning her eyes towards me. They were welling up with tears.

"What happened? Talk to me, honey." I stepped closer, trying to calm her down.

"It's Bronny!" she exclaimed, throwing her phone down on the couch.

I let out a deep sigh. I swear it's always something going on with Bronny James.

"What'd he do now?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.

"There's a picture trending online of him at an OB/GYN clinic—with some other woman!"

My stomach dropped. I knew it. I had suspected something like this for a while, but hearing it confirmed like this—it hit hard.

"Wait, slow down. What do you mean 'another woman'? What did you see?" I asked.

Taylor snatched up her phone and pulled up the post again, shoving it in my face.

"Look!" she snapped. "There he is, walking out of the clinic, holding some chick's hand! What the hell is going on, mom??"

I stared at the image on the screen. Sure enough, there was Bronny, clear as day, leaving a doctor's office with a woman I didn't recognize. My heart pounded as everything began to fall into place. So this was it—the proof I needed and finally had.

Taylor's voice broke me out of my thoughts. "Do you know what this means, mom? He's been sneaking around with some other wh*re while I'm pregnant with his child! How could he do this to me??"

"Taylor, don't call someone you don't know a wh*re." I said, rubbing my eyes.

She scoffed and plopped on the couch, burying her face in her hands.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my voice. "Tay... I had a feeling something like this might've been going on."

"What??" Taylor quickly looked up at me, her eyes widened with disbelief. "You knew? And you didn't say anything??"

"I didn't know for sure, sweetie." I replied, sitting down on the couch next to her. "But I had my suspicions. There were signs—little things I've noticed. Bronny broke up with you out of nowhere, and I've heard rumors swirling, but I didn't want to believe it. Not without proof."

"So you suspected he got someone else pregnant, and you didn't tell me?"

I shook my head. "I didn't want to worry you if it turned out to be nothing. You're already dealing with so much with this pregnancy, and I didn't want to add more stress."

Tears began filling in Taylor's eyes. "Well, now I know it's real, mom. He's out there with some other woman, probably playing dad to her kid while ignoring me!"

I put my arm around her, trying to comfort her. "I'm so sorry you're going through this, Tay. I really am. But we need to think about how we're going to handle this."

"I can't handle this! I don't know what to do!" Taylor said, crying on my shoulder. "I just yelled at him, and he barely even cared. He said she's just a friend whose baby daddy left her, and he was 'just helping her out'! Do you believe that?"

I frowned. "It sounds like he's trying to downplay it. That's what men do when they've been caught in a situation like this."

Taylor looked up, her eyes raging with anger. "I don't care what he says! He's been lying to me, mom! How can I trust him after this? How do I even move forward??"

I sighed, unsure of what to say. "It's a lot to process. But you have to decide what's best for you and the baby."

Taylor wiped her face. "I don't know if I can be around someone who's hiding things like this. He hasn't been honest, and now this? What if he's still seeing her?"

I paused for a moment. "If this woman is really pregnant with Bronny's child, then this situation is going to get complicated fast. If it's true, you'll have to share Bronny with another child—someone else's child."

Taylor's eyes darkened. "That's exactly what I'm scared of. I don't want to raise this baby while he's running around taking care of someone else's kid!"

I squeezed her hand. "You deserve the truth, Taylor. If there's another baby involved, Bronny needs to be honest with you."

Taylor nodded, sniffling and wiping her nose. "I just... I didn't think it would be like this. I thought we were going to be a family."

"I know, sweetie." I said, rubbing her back. "But now you have to think about yourself and your baby. What's best for you two. If Bronny's not ready to be the man you need him to be, you might need to make some tough decisions."

Taylor wiped her eyes and nose again. "I'm going to talk to him. He can't just brush this off like it's nothing. I need answers."

I nodded. "You deserve answers. Just be careful. Remember, you're pregnant so don't stress yourself out too much."

Taylor nodded. "I won't let him off the hook this time, mom. I'm going to get the truth out of him."

"Good. I'll be right here, no matter what happens."

Taylor leaned her head on my shoulder. "Thanks, mom. I don't know what I'd do without you."

I kissed her forehead gently. "We're going to get through this, Taylor. You and me. No matter what."
