Chapter 13
-----------------------

In the police interrogation room, Kavya sat with tears streaming down her face as the officers questioned her about her involvement in the illegal transactions to secure the government tender. The room was filled with tension as the officers stared at Kavya expectantly, waiting for her response.

"I didn't do anything wrong! I swear, I had no idea about any illegal activities going on," Kavya cried out, her voice quivering with emotion. "I worked so hard to win that tender, I would never jeopardize it by getting involved in anything illegal."

The officers continued to press Kavya for details, asking her about her connections with certain officers and if she had any knowledge of the under-the-table deals that had taken place. Kavya adamantly denied all accusations, her desperation evident in her voice.

"I'm being set up, I know it! Someone is trying to frame me for something I didn't do," Kavya protested, her hands trembling as she tried to compose herself. "I worked honestly and diligently to secure that tender, I would never risk everything for a few dishonest gains."

The officers exchanged a knowing look before continuing their interrogation, pushing Kavya to provide more details and explanations for her actions. Kavya's resolve remained firm as she denied any wrongdoing, her determination to clear her name stronger than ever.

As the questioning continued, Kavya's resolve wavered slightly, her fear and uncertainty creeping in.

She felt overwhelmed with fear and shame as she tried to explain herself, her words coming out in choked sobs.

Outside the room, Arjun sat in a cold metal chair, a smug smile playing on his lips. He watched through the small window as Kavya's distress grew, taking secret pleasure in her pain.

As the questioning continued, Kavya's voice grew hoarse from crying, and her shoulders slumped in defeat. She felt trapped and alone, with nowhere to turn for help.

Arjun, on the other hand, reveled in the moment, relishing in Kavya's misery. He had always believed that she had it too easy, and now, as he watched her breakdown, he felt a sense of satisfaction and vindication.

But deep down, Arjun knew that his joy was tainted with guilt. He could see the pain in Kavya's eyes, and a small part of him wondered if he had gone too far in his quest for revenge. Yet, the thrill of seeing her suffer was too intoxicating to resist.

A flicker of doubt passed through his mind. Was this really worth it? Was he prepared to destroy someone's life for his own satisfaction?

Only time would tell if Arjun's cunning enjoyment would come back to haunt him. But for now, in that cold, dreary police station, he basked in the aftermath of his manipulative actions, while Kavya's tears echoed in his mind.

As the male officer's questioning became increasingly aggressive and inappropriate, Kavya felt a wave of fear wash over her. His tone turned menacing, and she could sense his predatory gaze lingering on her.she temble from her chair and get hurt.

Arjun, who had been waiting outside, could hear the venom in the officer's voice through the closed door. His heart raced with anger and concern for Kavya. Without hesitation, he burst through the door, his eyes blazing with fury.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Arjun's voice boomed through the room, startling everyone inside. The officer turned towards him, a sneer on his face.
