Chapter 29

Thank you all for your love of my story. The response I got from my last chapter was tremendous.
Today's chapter is going to be emotionally driven. I hope I can express the character's pain to you via my writing.

Arjun stumbled down the dimly lit street, a bottle of whiskey in his hand, his heart heavy with betrayal. His usually composed demeanour was replaced by anger and hurt as he cursed Kavya for breaking his heart. He yelled out into the night, his words slurred and filled with pain.

Rana, who had been following Arjun from a distance, finally stepped forward, unable to watch his best friend spiral out of control any longer. "Arjun, stop!  " Rana called out, his voice firm.

Arjun turned around, his eyes bloodshot and filled with tears. "What do you want, Rana? Can't you see I'm in pain because of that girl?" he slurred, his words bitter with betrayal.

Rana took a deep breath, then hesitated before finally blurting out, "Kavya knows, Arjun. She knows that you were faking your love for her."

Arjun's drunken state was instantly replaced by shock and disbelief. He staggered back, the whiskey slipping from his grasp and shattering on the ground. "What do you mean she knows? How could she know?" he whispered, his voice filled with confusion and hurt.

Rana took a step closer, his eyes filled with concern. "She found out, Arjun. She found out about your real intentions, and that's why she chose Akhil over you. She knew you were not sincere in your affection towards her," he said softly, trying to console his friend.

Arjun stood frozen, the truth sinking in as he realized the gravity of his actions. The realization of his deceit hit him hard, leaving him shattered and vulnerable in the darkness of the night.

As the reality of his own betrayal settled in, Arjun crumbled to the ground, the weight of his actions finally catching up to him as tears streamed down his face. He had lost not only Kavya but also his own sense of self-respect.

Flashback,

"Milly, I don't understand why you keep insisting that Arjun isn't good for me," Kavya said defensively. "He's my boyfriend and he truly cares about me."

Milly took a deep breath before responding, "I know you care about him, Kavya, but sometimes we can't see things clearly when we're too close to the situation. Have you ever thought about his intentions? Are you sure he has your best interests at heart?"

Kavya's face fell slightly, but she quickly brushed off the doubt. "Arjun is a good person, Milly. He's always been there for me, and he wouldn't do anything to hurt me."

Milly gently brings up a sensitive topic. "Kavya, I know this might be hard to hear, but have you considered the difference in your financial status? You come from a wealthy family, while Arjun is just an employee at your father's office. Do you think he might have ulterior motives?"

Kavya's eyes widened in shock at the blunt observation. She had never thought about the financial aspect of her relationship with Arjun. "Money should not be a factor in love, Milly. Arjun has never shown any interest in my family's wealth. He loves me for who I am, not for what I have."

The conversation grew tense as Milly and Kavya continued to debate the dynamics of her relationship with Arjun. The other friends exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to intervene.

"Stop it Milly  how long have you been willing to blame Arjun? you are comparing  him with my friend's partner"

"You are the most wealthy in the group of us..but if your partner is not well matched with you...
