Chapter 25

Kavya bustled around the kitchen, laying out plates and utensils on the breakfast table. As she arranged the fresh fruits and pastries neatly on the table, she heard the sound of hurried footsteps coming down the stairs. Looking up, she saw her father, Arvind, looking visibly distressed.

" papa, what's wrong?" Kavya asked, concern evident in her voice.

Arvind ran a hand through his hair, his face etched with worry. "Arjun met with an accident. He's been rushed to the hospital," he explained breathlessly.

Kavya's expression remained impassive, her features betraying no hint of emotion. She simply nodded in acknowledgement, her mind racing with thoughts she kept carefully concealed.

Without waiting for a response from Kavya, Arvind turned on his heel and hurried out of the mansion, the sound of his car engine roaring to life echoing through the still morning air.

Arjun  sad in the hospital bed, his face displaying a mix of pain and guilt. Rana stormed into the room, his eyes fiery with anger.

"What were you thinking, Arjun? Drinking and driving? Do you have any idea how dangerous that is? You could have hurt yourself or someone else!" Rana's voice was stern and filled with disappointment.

Arjun winced at the harsh tone of his friend. "I…I I just lost control."

Rana's anger softened slightly as he saw the regret in Arjun's eyes. " our friend Mehul was in charge of the area, luckily you didn't get into a police case. But that doesn't excuse your reckless behavior!"

But despite his friend's scolding, he seemed distant and disconnected.

"Arjun, where are you? Why are you not reacting to this?" Rana's voice rose with frustration.

   Rana watched as Arjun remained unresponsive to his scolding, his eyes distant and unfocused. Frustrated, Rana sat down beside him and asked, "Arjun, what's going on? Why are you not reacting to anything I'm saying?"

Arjun let out a deep sigh before turning to face Rana, his eyes filled with a mix of sadness and anger. He  shout out"KAVYA.....It's Kavya, Rana." Rana is shocked.

" She… she ditched me and got engaged to Akhil.""Rana's eyes widened in surprise, not expecting this revelation. "What? When did this happen? I had no idea…"

Arjun's voice quivered with emotion as he continued, "She… she played me, Rana. Her love was fake, all those promises and plans we made together… it was all a lie."

Rana felt his heart ache for his friend, knowing how deeply Arjun had cared for Kavya.  Arjun's jaw set in determination. As he processed the pain and betrayal, a flicker of strength began to ignite within him

Arjun's eyes hardened as he clenched his fists. "I can't believe she would do this to me. I gave her everything, Rana. I trusted her with my heart, and she shattered it."

Rana opened his mouth to say something to Arjun, but before he could utter a word, the door swung open and Arvind in walked

Arvind's face was twisted with concern as he hurried towards Arjun's bedside. "Arjun, are you okay? I just heard about the accident. How are you feeling?"

Arjun tried to put on a brave face, forcing a smile. "I'm fine, sir. Just a few bruises, nothing serious."

Arvind looked around the room, then back at Arjun. "Is there anything you need, Arjun? Do you need anything from the office? "
