When I got home from Nav house that day, Vikram already had dinner and went off to sleep. I was slightly content that I didn't have to face him right away. I didn't want to hide anything from him and I know I should confront right away but I didn't want to hurt him. I found my path to the kitchen to grab myself a glass of wine. While pouring the wine into the glass, my eye caught upon a small white paper that was folded in half. Screwing the cork back onto the bottle, I reached for the paper that read my name on one side.

It was a little note from Vikram. Something he would occasionally do for me.

~ Long day at work. Exhausted. Off to sleep. Sorry for not waiting up. Need to leave early tomorrow morning. Don't forget my parent's anniversary dinner this weekend. We leave tomorrow evening and won't be back till Sunday night. Pack occurring to Indian formal wear. I'll see you tomorrow evening at 7. PS I love you! -Vik ~

A twinkle of a hearty feeling struck my face. It was little gestures like such that made me fall in love with him. The smile on his face warmed my entire life. I just couldn't harm it.

The next evening was fairly busy. After a regular day of training at work, I settled at home with some packing and cleaning to do before Vikram got home.

The more I thought about it, the more this uneasy feeling effected me. I had to talk to Vikram about what happened with Jas and I had to create a good impression on his family. We didn't have any wedding plans as of yet and I'm not sure if we even reached that position with our relationship but, impressing his parents was very important for me and Vikram. He was really close to his family and couldn't imagine his life without his family. If I wanted to secure my relationship with Vikram, I had to create a favourable perception in the eyes of his parents.

I started packing my clothing about an hour before Vik got back. I didn't exactly ask Vikram what the map of the weekend was going to be so I packed smart, trying to pick outfits that would work as casual and dressy. I pack two casual Indian suits, that could be worn as dressy outfits if I accessorize well, a pair of pjs, and a little pink sari with sliver work on it for the dinner. I know the dinner was going to include a lot of Vikram's extended family members and family friends. I also packing my makeup and Indian jewelry to match my outfits.

Seeing Vikram was still going to take time in reaching home, I figured I should complete his packing too. Vikram already had packed an outfit for tomorrow and Sunday, leaving just something formal for the dinner. I walked into his closet to grab out a suit. I chose the suit that we recently purchased on a shopping trip one day. Grabbing a black shirt with a pink tie to match my sari, I finished his packing as well.

With twenty minutes left till Vikram got home, I picked out a suit that contained of a white top and white tight bottoms with a blue dupatta. The white top included some blue borders on it. I quickly head off into the shower to get ready for our trip. I blow-dried my hair in order to dry and style it all at once. I just finished applying some light makeup when I heard Vikram's voice.

"Hey babe! You look beautiful." He kissed my cheek lightly.

"Thank you. I finished your packing so just get ready to leave."

"Oh man! You're a saviour. I forgot about packing."

"I know." I turned around to face him. He placed his arms around my shoulders. I gave him a little timid look.

"Nervous?"

"Are you sure I look okay? I mean I want to create a good impression but don't want to overdue anything."

"You look beautiful seriously. They are going to love you. I already told them about you and they're very excited. You'll be just fine and I'll be right with you."
