"And here we are."

The entire car ride was about Vikram updating me on everything here in Manhattan. I felt bad for everyone that I had affected in any way when I left. When I think back on it, I can't believe that I had the nerve to cause more problems for everyone just so I could run away from mine. My best friend probably came back from her honeymoon to find me missing. Masi, who was already crashed by mom's death, was probably even more stressed on learning that I had just left without a word. And most of all, I couldn't imagine the pain I caused to Vikram.

I remember that moment. I've thought of that moment everyday since I had left. Every time I missed my life, every time I missed Vikram. I left him all alone and stranded a few moments after he expressed his true feelings for me. He said I love you and I left. I was alone in a lot of emotional and mental pain but, I chose that path for myself. Vikram was left here facing my family, my friends, the doctors and himself all alone because of me. I only wish I had another way of handle with my life. I should trust his love for me.

I was once again lost in my thoughts till I felt Vikram's hand on the back on my head. He cupped the back of my head and pulled it towards himself to plant a soft kiss on my forehead.

"We're here. Are you okay?"

I looked out the window. I turned my head back to Vikram and raised my eyebrow in curiosity.

"Vikram this isn't-"

"I know. Come inside and I'll explain everything."

"Alright."

I stepped out of the car grabbing my purse and my luggage from the trunk. The house was a fairly big house. The front of the house had stairs leading to the entrance and lots of windows. I'm not sure why Vikram brought me here. I wonder if there are any people inside the house. I guess this is Vikram's house. But, what if his family lives here? No! I couldn't possible meet his family. It's too early and different not the right time.

I quickly took a glance at myself in the car window, trying to fix my appearance through my reflection. I ran my fingers through my hair to make it look presentable. Bringing my fingers to my face, I tried to soak the excess oil around my nose, under my lips and under my eyes. I slid my finger around my eyes trying to fix any running eyeliner then, I went back to fixing my hair.

I quickly dropped my hairs to my side and faced the front of the house when I heard Vikram chuckle at my action. He had his arms laying flat on the top of the car with his chin on them, just staring at me. I looked at him and felt my face heating up. He walked around the car and towards me. With his arm snaking around my waist, he pulled me close and walked towards the house.

"Relax! No one's here but us both!"

He unlocked the door and I helped him with carrying all the luggage inside.

"This is my house, as you have probably figured. Come with me."

He grabbed my hand and led me to show me the house. We first enter the study. The study was Vikram's little office for when he had to bring work at home or for the days he was working from home. There were a family room that connected with an open concept kitchen and a breakfast bar counter, a separate dining room with a beautiful cabinet full of expensive dishes, a living room for when there are guest over and a laundry on the first floor. The house was very family built than for a bachelor. It had a warm and comforting aura to the air.

Next, we reached on the second floor. Vikram grabbed my small handbag of clothing when we head upstairs. The second floor had a small hall area. There two master bedrooms, a pink room and a large guest room. Every room had its own connecting bathroom.
