Recap: I smiled at my phone screen and put my phone down. This weekend was going to be great. My best friend's getting married. I have a date to the wedding. It'll be fun to finally relax. Then it struck me. He was...also coming. My smile washed away. I entered a world of thoughts and have no idea when I fell asleep.

I woke up rather early than usual. It was only 5:30 and I had about 3 hours till work. I went down and got myself a cup of coffee, quiet enough not to wake mumma up. Still wearing my pink pajama shorts and a light blue tank top, I let my hair out of the messy bun. I made my way to the backyard and got comfortable on the outdoor couch. Mumma loved to decorate the house. She had gotten outdoor furniture about two years ago. It was white furniture with green accessories, including pillows, covers, etc. The colors were so soothing together. They brought peace to the mind.
I smiled looking up at the sky. It was a clear sunny day I'm guessing. I hope the weather stays like that for the wedding. I took the last sip of my coffee and placed the cup of the table. Oh that reminds me. I have to pick up my outfits for Nav's wedding from the tailor. I smiled at the thought of her wedding but it quickly disappeared. This week was going to be interesting.
I lost track of time while in the backyard. When I grabbed my phone, the time read 8:30am. "I'm so dead today", I mumbled, realizing how late I was going to be.
I had to get ready for a little trip from the company. I was to attend a meeting and get the contract signed for the Kapoors' case with Vik. I quickly took a shower and got dressed into dress pants and a blue blouse. Grabbing my carryon bag, I started packing some clothes and my essentials. I packed two dresses, a blouse and a pair of dress pants. I also packed my pjs, two pairs of heels and a pair of flats.
You never know what the client has in mind for you. Upon their request, Vik and I are supposed to stay in their hotel for two day and one night. As soon as I finished packing, I head downstairs and said my goodbye to mumma.
"Beta, take care and eat on time and call me when you reach and do not stress too much and be safe. Don't worry about me and I'll pick up your clothes for the wedding too." I smiled. She knew I would forget about the dresses. I know I don't need to worry when she's around.
It was 9:30 and I couldn't find a cab. I was half an hour late. "TAXI", I yelled. The taxi drove past. "Crap! I'm so screwed." I turned around looking for another taxi and a black car pulled up towards me. Although it was bright and sunny outside, I had a fear building inside my stomach. The window slowly came down. I smiled.
"I have absolutely no patience. So I had to come grab you." He said while stepping ot of his car. He came to my side and took my bag from me, placing it in the trunk, he said, "Either way, we're traveling in my car. So why not."
He walked towards me and looked me right in the eyes. "I couldn't wait to see you." I couldn't help but smile and hug him. He pulled me closer and hugged back. Realizing we were still in front of my house, I pulled away and pushed him into the car. And ran to the other side to get in myself. I quickly looked up at the house and saw my mom spying from the curtains in her room. She popped up a thumbs up. I blushed and got into the car.
"Bye aunty" Vik yelled and waved to my mom.
I was embarrassed. "Let's leave. We're already late."
"I was hoping to wait for your mom to come down." My eyes popped open. "NO! NO! DRIVE NOW PLEASE."
He chuckled and we were on our way.
