Chapter 10

*Few days later*

Faye had just finished her client's hair when she heard someone enter the salon, not her usual client and that person didn't seem to be looking for any treatment. She saw Ice, who was at the front desk, greeted her.

"Sawadee ka... may I help you?" Ice asked with a big smile.

"Umm... may I use your bathroom?" The girl asked, holding her crotch as if she was in pain.

Faye watched them interact a few feet away from her as something caught her attention.

"Oh, I'm sorry na, but we don't have a bathroom for public." Ice said with a polite reply.

"But..! But I really need to pee, I'm about to wet my pants, auntie!" The girl said back, making Faye laugh.

That girl literally had no filter, or any shame, Faye thought.

"I don't think I can't hold it anymore!"

"I'm sorry ka, we can't do that, there's a small cafe on the other block if–"

"Oih, nong..! It's okay na!" Faye said, cutting her off. She smiled and nodded at the girl. "You can use our bathroom, it's on the left." She said as she opened the back door of the store for that girl.

The girl nodded and went in right away. After about twenty minutes, she was back. Faye noticed that her pants were wet in the front, she must not have arrived in time. However, the girl didn't seem to notice, but walked happily through the room to leave without any words.

As she was about to open the glass door, it opened and someone entered the room.

"Becbec?" Nam said, taken aback by Becbec's unexpected presence in her workplace. "What are you doing here?" She asked, sounding hospitable and caring.

Becbec looked at her with an innocent expression. "I.. I.."

"She wanted to use our bathroom, nong. Do you know her?" Faye said as she came out from behind the check-in counter.

Nam nodded and walked over to take Becbec's hand to guide her to sit on the couch. "You remember me, nong? I'm P'Nam na ka. We met few days ago na." She said as she pointed to her chest to reintroduce herself.

The other girl nodded with a slow humming escaping her mouth. Nam offered a proud smile to her and put the package she brought with her on the counter.

"Where's nong Freen?" Faye asked as she looked through the glass door to the street.

"She went to take Finn home, phi." Nam said and Becbec's eyes widened in excitement at hearing the name. She wanted to ask her, but seeing that Nam was busy doing her own things, she decided to remain silent. "Huh? Have Khun Jasmine come to her date yet? She was supposed to come at 3 and it's already 3.30." Nam said while looking at her wristwatch.

"Mai... I would know if she came. Maybe she's running a little late today, nong.." Faye said. "Eh? I thought P'Mario was going to pick Finn up from school?"

As Nam was about to answer her friend, they were interrupted.

"Finn?" Becbec stood up from the couch and asked excitedly. "You see Finn, phi phi? Can I see him too?"

Faye and Nam looked at Becbec in surprise.

"Do you know Finn, nong Bec?" Nam asked, looking between that girl and her friend.

Becbec sighed dramatically. "Cai, he's my friend!" She paused as if she was in deep thought for a moment. "Mai!! He's my B-F-F!"She exclaimed, making Faye jump a little. "But I can't see him anymore, that grumpy old lady won't let me play with Finn! I don't like her, although she is... cute, really cute." She sighed with a hint of frustration.
