After eating dinner at the nearby fast food restaurant, Freen sent Faye and Nam home before returning to her apartment. Unlocking the door to her apartment, she told Finn to go inside with Becbec first, as she had to meet up with Engfa to tell her what had happened earlier and why she had come home so late. But she didn't go into detail about the true story since it was already late and she didn't want to bother Engfa with her story and also because she and Engfa weren't as close as her friendship with Mario, or Nam and Faye.

She just thanked Engfa for taking care of her son for these past few days and told her that she didn't have to anymore since Finn would either be back at Mario's store after school was over or staying at her salon, starting tomorrow. Although she didn't even discuss it with her son yet, but she knew that already her son would agree that now that he got his best friend back, Finn will certainly be glad to spend time with Becbec.

However, on Freen's part, she didn't know what had come into her earlier when she suddenly ran to hug that girl in her arms. She knew that one of the factors was because she was a little relieved that the girl was safe, as she felt that it was her fault that the girl ran away that night. She was like a child after all, of course a gesture like that she would scare her. She blamed herself for that.

But she knew that there was something else that made her hug the girl when she saw her. She felt something. Something so close between them, like a connection. When she saw that girl appear behind her son, it was so unreal that she saw the exact same face but so different standing in front of her. It was like she was seeing Becky again.

Her Becky, her so far away and lost Becky. It was like all her anger towards Becky disappeared the moment she hugged that girl. She wanted nothing more than to be in Becky's arms and love her unconditionally again like before. But the moment she pulled away from the girl's body and looked into her unfamiliar big brown eyes, she knew she was expecting something that impossible. That girl couldn't be her Becky, that girl wasn't her Becky.

Her Becky was gone, her Becky had left her seven years ago, her Becky was dead to her. She just needed to accept the fact and move on. That was what she was doing right now, wasn't she?

"Mae kub, can Becbec sleep with me tonight?" Her son interrupted her thought, bringing her back to reality.

"Okay, I'll bring the extra mattress to your room, wait na?" She said, before walking to her bathroom to grab the extra toothbrush for the other girl. "Don't forget to brush your teeth na. Give this to Becbec." She handed Finn the toothbrush.

"Mae... can Becbec sleep in my bed with me? I want to sleep with her next to me... please Mae?" Finn asked, with the most adorable puppy face he could make when he asked for something.

"Finn luk, your bed doesn't fit two people na. I'm sure that when you wake up tomorrow morning, one of you will be sleeping on the floor, baby.." Freen told her son as she walked to the closet, looking for clothes for the other girl to change, since she didn't bring anything of her own.

Finn approached her and asked again, still not giving up on his request. "So... can I sleep with Becbec on the floor?"

Freen sighed as she unfolded a shirt to see if it would fit the girl. "The mattress isn't meant for two, baby, and I don't have an extra one. You know we never have any guests who have slept over before, besides your aunties."

"So, can we sleep in your bed? Your bed will be enough for three people, right? Your bed is bigger than mine. Can Becbec and I sleep with you, Mae?"

Freen's eyes widened at her son's idea.

"You can tell us that story you once told me, Mae! I'm sure Becbec will love it too! Please na kub?"

Freen didn't know what to answer her son. The thought of that girl sleeping together in bed with her made her uncomfortable. Even though the girl was just a little girl like her son, but she still had the same figure of an adult like her. It would be weird for two stranger adults to sleep together in the same bed, right?
