And it was just as Finn expected, Becbec showed up again the next day, bringing extra sandwiches, enough for the three of them to enjoy together. For the past few days, the girl would show up when Mario came back with Finn from school.

After finishing his homework, they would play the detective game because Finn loved to play that game. He told Becbec that his Mae wanted him to be a detective because he liked to solve mysteries or crimes. Before he met the girl, he always played the game by himself and now that he finally got a new friend, he would like her to be his detective partner.

"Is it a little crowded here, Finn?" Becbec asked as politely as she could. She was more of an introverted girl, but Finn was more of an extrovert.

"Crowds just make everything more fun, phi!" Finn insisted with a slight nod. "I'm looking forward to the chance to explore the world. When I grow up, I want to take my Mae travelling around the world!"

"Wow, that's great!" The girl said. "Don't forget to tell me all of your adventures, Finn!"

"I will!" Finn agreed. "Now, let's head to our next mission!"

Sometimes, when they didn't have any mysteries to solve, they would help Mario stock the shelves and then read comics. Sometimes, they preferred to play video games or just play quietly in the storeroom.

Until today.

Freen suddenly decided to take Finn to lunch when she came back from school. Luckily, she texted Mario first before she got to the store. Mario told Finn to tell Freen about Becbec, it was time to tell her the truth because honestly, they were both tired of hiding Becbec from Freen. Mario had asked Finn to tell Freen about the girl so many times before, but Finn didn't like the idea.

He was afraid his Mae wouldn't let him play with her anymore. But little did he know, Mario had already told her. And Freen was waiting patiently for Finn to spill the beans, but he hadn't. So she decided to play along.

"Finn na kub, your Mae wants to take you to lunch. We should tell her about Becbec, don't you think?"

"Ha?! Are you kidding me? When is she coming?"

"Like... right now? She's on her way."

"Oh, no! Becbec, hide! You have to hide here! I'll call you when it's time, okay kub?"

Becbec nodded and Mario laughed silently at the boy's behavior. He was so scared that his Mae would stop him from seeing the girl again. He told her to hide in the back door of the store and she just obliged without a word. She had no idea why she should hide.

When Freen entered the store, Finn's face was pale as chalk. He was shaking, he hated lying or hiding anything from his Mae, and now he hated that he had to bear the consequences of his action.

"Aw? What's wrong, luk? You look like you've seen a ghost." Freen asked.

"Uhm, nothing. Mae kub, I'd like you to meet someone, uhm.. a friend. Kub, my friend."

"Oh... you have a new friend? I didn't know you had one na. Can I meet her?"

"Mae, how did you know it's... I... I... I'll call her. Wait here na."

But when Finn turned around and went to call the girl in another room, she was nowhere to be found. She left her backpack in Mario's office. That's weird, Becbec never left without saying goodbye, Finn thought.

But now, he had a more serious situation that needed to be handled instead of the missing girl. There was an angry dragon ready to shoot fire waiting for him.

Luckily the dragon wasn't as angry as he thought, he mentally made a note to thank Mario as soon as he finished explaining to his mother about Becbec. He knew Mario had done something for him, he always did.
