TW: Scars, Past abuse mentioned
Two more days until Dapha and Ivory leave for Morani. Currently Aurelia is on her way the Dukes estate to have lunch with the Otani brothers and Kasper.
Raine hummed as he skipped down the halls. "I just saw Aurelia yesterday, it's a shame I have to see her again today. It's not like me to give one person so much attention." He said cockily. "I wonder if River knows." He mumbled turning to his brother's room. "Only one way to find out, brother!" He exclaimed bursting through Rivers door.
"River?" Raine repeated. "Weird, he's not in here," He mumbled looking around the room. "River!" He called out again.
"Can you stop calling my name so loudly? We're in the same room."
"River!" Raine exclaimed turning towards the voice but his expression shifted to being completely confused. "What are you doing on the floor?" He asked.
"I was doing push ups, until you interrupted." River said, clearly annoyed.
"Well forget about some silly push-ups! Guess who's coming over for a suprise visit today?"Raine asked but instead of responding River only gave him a confused expression. "Fine, I'll tell you, it's Aurelia!"
"She is? Father is actually letting someone come over?" River asked standing up and sitting on his bed.
"Yup, you know he always had a soft spot of her." Raine explained. "You better get ready, she'll be here in a couple of hours."
"Alright." River mumbled, looking away from Raine. But instead of leaving the room Raine plopped down on the bed right next to River.
"Why are you getting comfortable? Get out." River said harshly.
"Why wouldn't I be in my brother's room? Are you telling me you don't like my company?" Raine asked with a sulking tone.
"Not really." River admitted.
"Your so cruel River!" Raine cried leaning onto his brothers back.
River quickly got up and moved away from Raine but not before shouting. "Get off! Can't you tell I busy?"
"Busy doing what? Spending time alone in this dark gloomy room." Raine asked looking around River's room. "Honestly, you should open the window." He smiled, opening Rivers curtains. "Oh, Look what we have here."
"Don't do that." River said, walking to his window. But before he closed the curtains again he saw a small boy training in the courtyard.
"Aw, look at the commoner Aurelia brought in, isn't he cute?" Raine asked, watching Kasper being taught the basics. "I wonder how many battles he'll last before he dies."
"Of course you'd ask a question like that." River said, with a disgusted tone. "You're such a sadist."
"Don't tell me you're not thinking the same thing?" Raine asked, slightly shocked. "Aren't you jealous?"
"Why would I be jealous of him?" River asked with a confused expression. "I'll get far more training than he ever could."
"No that's not what I mean!" Raine huffed. "Aurelia referred to him as Dapha's boyfriend, that means he's competition."
River now catching on look to what his brother meant turned back to the window and watched Kasper. "I wouldn't consider a commoner as competition." He muttered. "And knowing Aurelia she was probably lying."
