Homesick

| 17 | Keziah

It's been one full week, which means it's finally time for Ivory and Dapha to meet Aurelia, and also meet Keziah the final love interest. Currently they're both sitting in their carriage being brought to Aurelia residence.

"I cant believe they made so many cupcakes." Dapha said staring at the container full of cupcakes. "They're not even all strawberry either."

"You're right, there has to be at least twenty-five." Ivory agreed inspecting the container. "But it's not the time to count the cakes, it's time to go over our game plan."

"Okay, what's the game plan."

"So, from what we know so far, Aurelia's father, the Marquis and Keziah's mother are engaged, and finally moved in with each other. But Keziah despises royals, so much that in the orginal game, he's planned multiple murders."

"Oh yeah, I forgot, we're dealing with an actually murderer here.." Dapha sighed.

Ivory nodded and agreed in response. "Luckily for you, you're not a noble so you shouldn't have to worry about him. But Aurelia on the other hand should sleep with one eye open."

"Do you actually think he'd try and kill her? There's no good that can come from that."

"Unfortunately, he's tried to murder Sir, Nolan, so she'll definitely be a target as well. In the game she was safe since they had such a close bond, but since you stole that opportunity from her, she's definitely going to have to be very careful."

"Okay so we know he might try and kill Aurelia, but how is this our game plan?" Dapha asked.

"I'm getting to that!" Ivory replied. "Like I've said before, she's most likely asking us to hang out because she needs help taming the beast. And the best way to help her, is to tell that beast that you want nothing to do with him."

"What? But won't that make him want to attack me or something? He's super unstable and I don't want to put my life at risk."

"See that's what I was thinking but also in the game, during Rivers route, once Aurelia found out about her feelings she told Keziah that she wanted nothing to do with him. I expected him to go crazy and kill everyone but instead he took it very well. He even got a girlfriend and they lived happily ever after."

"Wait but isnt there also a route where after Aurelia rejects him, he kills her and then himself? So nobody could take her away from him."

Ivory awkwardly smiles and looks away. "Well, that's one route, you'll be fine."

"That doesn't sound very convincing!" Dapha cried. "So it's fifty, fifty if I live or die?"

"Sure!" Ivory smiled.

"I think you're even more evil than the royal guards trying to kill me." Dapha sighed.

The carriage came to a stop as the driver yelled, "We've arrived."

"Oh no.."

"Oh yes! Come on Dapha, let's go!" Ivory smiled pulling Dapha out the carriage.

They were greeted with a smiling Aurelia standing outside the carriage. "Welcome to my home." She smiled.

"It's a pleasure to be here." Ivory smiled back, presenting the container of cupcakes. "We brought treats!"

"Cupcakes! That's wonderful!" Aurelia cheered clapping her hands. "Come let's go outside and eat at one of these tables."

The three girls have been sitting outside for a while now, almost two hours. In the beginning there was little to no conversation, making the atmosphere very awkward. Ivory finally decided to break the silence and ask Aurelia about how her engagement is going with Prince Nahkai which made her open up a lot, since she loves to talk about her success. Now Aurelia finally brought up her new brother, Keziah.
