One thing my best friend and I have in common is our strange obsession with the show Sherlock. Oh how we both wished we could somehow go and meet the famous Sherlock Holmes. The problem was he wasn't real. There was absolutely no possible way to meet Sherlock Holmes.
I sat there waiting impatiently for the announcements to come on to announce the end of the day. I was sitting on top of my desk because all of the chairs were stacked. I held my school's yearbook close to my chest . I had gotten all the signatures I had wanted. Most importantly I had gotten my crush's signature. Jack. A simple name but it was the name of my crush.
"Laura!" a familiar voice shouted bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Katie!" I said pulling my friend into a hug.
"My teacher let my class go where ever we wanted because it was the last day of school." Katie explained after noticing my questioning glance.
Katie was a junior and I was a sophomore. Katie and I met through the sport that we both loved, which was water polo.
"Hey I was wondering if after school we could head to my house and hang. We could even watch a Sherlock marathon." Katie offered sitting next to me on the desk.
"Sure let me ask my mom. You know what we should have a sleepover. We can stop at my house, ask my mom and then get me some clothes." I said pulling out of the hug.
"Perfect!" Katie said hugging me again.
At that exact moment the announcements came on and you could hear the annoying voice of my vice principle.
As soon as the bell rung we were on our way out of the classroom. Katie and I walked out of the school together. All we had was our yearbooks and a lunch box. We first went to my house to ask my mom and get my stuff. Of course she said yes and once we got my stuff we immediately went over to Katie's house. Katie and I barged through the door and plopped down on the couch.
"Guess who signed my year book!" I excitedly exclaimed.
"Is it Jack." she said raising her eyebrows.
"Yes." I said opening up the year book to the page where he had signed.
"Ooh. He wrote his number you lucky girl." Katie said excitedly.
"Do you want to text him?" Katie urged.
"No. Not right now. Lets start watching some Sherlock." I said quickly.
"Okay of you insist." Katie said reluctantly.
Katie quickly pulled up Netflix and we started watching. We had just finished watching the first season when Mrs. Kruesi called us for dinner. She had ordered us a pizza. Half of it was buffalo chicken my favorite and the other half was cheese. Katie's favorite.
We grabbed a plate of our pizza's and sat back down on the couch to watch some more Sherlock. Soon by the end of the second season and after crying during Sherlock's death scene we started drifting off to sleep. Katie was the first to go to sleep. Then me.
Little did we know that something magical happened that night. The tv turned into a portal and sucked the sleeping Katie and I into It. It made our wishes to meet the famous Sherlock Holmes come true.
