Zach
After staring at the clock for 10 minutes I decide to get up and go get something to drink from the kitchen. Although I'd like to blame the fireworks going off in the distance it's really the thought of slow dancing with Nicole. It made me feel a way that I can't explain. I've never felt it with her before.
As I'm pouring myself a whiskey I hear footsteps. My first thought is, someone's headed to the bathroom but when I turn around I'm greeted by Nicole. Of course, I'm standing here in my boxers and she's not in much more. A black bralette with short, yet high waisted pink shorts.
"Oh. I didn't plan on running into anyone at this hour." She says crossing her arms in front of her trying to hide herself. It does the complete opposite though, the pressure from her arms is just pushing her boobs up, making them appear even bigger than they are. I try not to fixate and look at the time on the microwave.
"Yeah sorry. I couldn't sleep." I say and put the whiskey bottle back.
"Same." She walks to the cabinet and grabs a glass. She has to stand up on her tip toes to reach which is cute. I watch her fill it up and drink some.
"You wanna...sit outside for a little? That's what I do when I can't sleep." I suggest.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. Don't feel pressured or anything just a suggestion."
"No I know. Sure." She says and follows me outside. I'm a little nervous but I'll be fine.
When we get out there, the coolness in the air makes the hair on my body raise a little.
"It's chilly." She laughs and crosses her arms again. She's gotta be a freezing in what she's got on.
"Nippy for sure." I add and she looks down at her chest, observing her boobs and then pulls her crossed arms up more to cover what I'd imagine are her raised nipples. Damn. I force my curious eyes away. She sits in one of the chairs.
"I need a sweatshirt, but I don't wanna wake the kids." She says trying to get warmer and comfortable.
I don't hesitate and offer "I can get you a blanket from the living room?"
"That would be great thanks." She says and I head inside quietly. When I come back out she drops her crossed arms and I get a quick visual of her nipples poking through the material of her bralette. Good god I'm really being tested tonight.
"Thank you." She wraps it around herself and looks out towards the water, I pace around the porch finding a good spot to stand or sit. I settle on the railing, leaning against it, looking out into the dark night. Crickets are the only thing making noise, it's very peaceful.
"Can I ask you something?" She breaks the silence between us, I look at her and nod before saying "Of course." The words are heavy in my throat, what is she going to say?
"Earlier, when we danced...you said that song explained a lot about you. What did you mean?"
"Yeah, well like just kinda along the lines of not being someone who desires to dance when music is on or at a party like a wedding reception but..." I clear my throat not wanting to come off too strong right now. "When I like a girl...I have absolutely no reservations to dragging her out there to dance with me. Basically cause I'll do anything to be with her and make her smile." I say and the lump in my throat is hanging on, I'm nervous for what she's going to say.
"Aren't you seeing that Kelly?" She asks completely avoiding what I just confessed to her, shit.
"No not exclusively, I just took her out the other night for dinner to feel her out a little. Not sure how I feel about her."
