"There's a new movie out we could go see this weekend." Kelly says over the phone. It's about 7pm and the radio has been dead all evening. One more hour and I'm out of here.
"Sure, just let me know a date and time and I'll pick you up."
"Yay. We could get dinner beforehand too!"
"Um sure, I think I'm working kinda late this weekend though babe, I don't know if we'd have time."
"Oh, well then that's fine. We can just see a late showing." She suggests and I notice a car drive by again that just drove by a minute ago.
"Yeah that sounds good. Hey, I gotta go, wanna check something out here alright?"
"Yeah okay stay safe babe."
"Always." I say and hang up to pursue the suspicious car that circled the area twice. When he saw me the second time he took off. Clearly doesn't wanna be seen by me. When I got closer he rolled through a stop sign which gives me a reason to pull him over. I radio in what's going on and Trent radios back and says he's on his way to assist.
"How's it going officer?" Guy says rolling down his window as I approach with caution.
"Hi, Officer Carson with Jim Thorpe police department. License and registration please. You ever been arrested or gotten a ticket?" I ask while he goes in his glove box.
"No. Wait, yes I've gotten a ticket."
"Alright for what?"
"Something. I don't know what."
"You don't know?" I question when he hands me the papers. I see Trent pull up behind my car and he gets out to make his way over to the passenger side.
"You got anything illegal in the vehicle or on you?" I ask scanning the interior.
"Nope. Nothing sir, I'm good to go."
"Okay well is it alright if I check real quick?" I ask and give Trent a look as he watches the exchange through the passenger window.
"Sure. I'm gonna get my seatbelt off."
"Yup, seatbelt off and step out the vehicle please." I tell him and he reaches for it, turning his entire back to me. My hand flies to my gun and I wait for Trent to give me the word.
"He's pulling stuff from his console."
"He's what?"
"He pulled something from the console and put it in the back of his pants. Wasn't a gun I don't know what it was." Trent tells me, I open the door and grab his hands.
"Hands behind your back, that was stupid." I tell him as my heart beats faster.
"The hell you grab from the console?" Trent asks after rounding to my side while I get him in cuffs.
"Nothing. I don't got anything." He claims and I lift his shirt to see if I can locate it in maybe a back pocket but he's got sweatpants on.
"Ah shit, it's in his underwear." Trent tells me with a quick glance at eachother. We're both not sure what we're gonna find. He puts on gloves quick and pulls the elastic back at his butt.
"Mhm." He mumbles and I watch him pull what looks like toilet paper with a pipe somewhat wrapped in it.
"Meth pipe?" I ask and he nods. Then he finds an envelope of some kind folded with what my guess would be is meth inside. Won't know until we take a look.
"I didn't know I had a pipe, swear. It's not mine sir." The suspect says and Trent rolls his eyes. I can't help but laugh as I pat the rest of him down.
