Minecraft: a Novel

Chapter 20

"Wait! Are you sure about this?" I asked Ben.

"It's most likely them. Anyway, if its not them, we have security back here," He replied.

That made me feel a bit better.

We all got up from the table and left the mess hall. Then we walked down the hallway to the armory.

Ben opened the door. I've seen the armory before. It was just a medium sized room with coats of armor lining the sides and chests labeled 'swords' and 'ender pearls' and stuff like that.

We entered. Ben half ran to a diamond set of armor. He threw it on. Jane got decked in diamond as well. Lora and Grace got iron as well as infinity bows.

I clothed in a spare set of iron armor and opened the sword chest. Inside lay about 15 diamond swords. Some were enchanted with Sharpness II and others with Knockback and Fire Aspect. I grabbed one with Knockback.

"Everyone get five enderpearls," Jane announced. "For emergencies."

I got my enderpearls and then waited for everyone else to finish getting ready.

"What are we expecting?" I asked.

"I don't know. We have only fought in a battle with Herobrine once, and that was a duel. He uses fire a lot, so maybe fire aspect wouldn't be a good choice. His men are probably immune," Ben said.

Everyone was done suiting up so Ben led us through a trapdoor in the corner of the room. A ladder led us down to a garage-like room with these tank kinda things.

The tanks were floating about a meter of the stone brick. I was green in color with a huge cannon the the center. Each one was five blocks high, ten block long and six blocks wide. A door was in the sides. Ben jumped in one and the whole thing lit up. Jane followed, indicating for me to follow her. Lora and grace all got into a second one.

The inside was really cool. There were two small rooms: one was the cockpit and the other, behind the cockpit, was the cabin. It was lined with small benches and chests.

Ben positioned himself in the captain's seat and Jane in the co- captain's seat.

Jane pulled a lever on the dashboard and the wall of the garage gave way, revealing a passageway outside.

"Let's go!" Ben exclaimed.

Jane pulled another lever on the dashboard and the whole vehicle turned invisible. It looked like we were just suspended in the air! I could see Lora and Grace do the same.

Ben pushed a button. Himself, Jane, and I all became invisible. This was very strange.
