Sparsh gently caressed Ragini's cheek while gazing at her. She looked gorgeous. He picked up his phone from the table beside their bed to check the time and it was past midnight. While keeping it back, he was reminded of something. He got out of the bed and walked to the table at the other side and picked up the phone kept there.

He unlocked it and saw their wedding picture as the wallpaper. His fingers trembled and stopped him from spying into it any further, however, the doubts which had taken place in his mind were strong enough to overcome his righteousness. He looked at Ragini, then sighed and checked the call log. Their call lasted for about thirty minutes. He wanted to dig further now. He found that she had deleted her chat history with Sid which was another reason to be suspicious.

He couldn't find any pictures which could prove or justify the situation. The emotions he was feeling were incomprehensible to even himself. He was sure that there was something between Ragini and Sid which he didn't know, but the way Ragini loved and cared for him also seemed genuine.

He kept the phone back and returned to the bed. He covered Ragini with the blanket while he was trying to analyse the situation. He was sure that Ragini and Sid had known each other since before their marriage, but what disturbed him was that none of them revealed this thing. Moreover, they acted like strangers. They didn't even talk and he assumed that they were shy. He felt betrayed by the two people he trusted the most.

Beside him, Ragini was sleeping soundly, unaware of the doubts which had taken roots in her husband's mind. Sparsh couldn't take his eyes off her face, it was as if he were scanning his wife's face to know the truth concerning this whole situation. The tsunami of questions in his heart made him restless and he couldn't even blink and sleep for even a second.

Ragini woke up in the morning to see Sparsh sitting on the couch, and sipping his hot coffee. She got out of the bed and walked to him.

"Good morning!" She sat on his lap and softly kissed his lips. "You didn't sleep last night? Your eyes are red and I can see these dark circles too."

Sparsh just gazed at her, without answering her question. He caressed her cheeks while his heart was pounding inside. He was torn between his brain and heart. His brain wanted the answers while his heart wanted to believe in his wife and his brother.

"Say something. Why are your eyes so red? They look puffy."

Sparsh finally replied, "I couldn't sleep last night."

"Then you should have told me. Why didn't you wake me up?"

"What would you have done? You couldn't do anything about it."

Ragini wrapped him into her arms tightly and said, "Why not? I'd have hugged you all night, patting your head and back, I'd have made you go to sleep within five minutes."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course you can. What is it?"

He knew her answer but still asked, "Do you love me?"

Ragini's smile disappeared. She looked into Sparsh's eyes and then said, "What do you think?"

"I don't know. I want you to answer it."

"You don't know if I love you or not?"

Sparsh took a sigh and shook his head. Sparsh was acting strangely and Ragini had realised that.

"Is something bothering you? Just tell me what it is. Did something happen? Did I do something wrong? How would I know if you don't tell me? Please tell me Sparsh. I wanna know what you are thinking. I wanna help you out."

Her face showed genuine concern. Her furrowed brows and anxious face made him doubt his suspicions. She loved him, it seemed. Instead of assuming things, Sparsh decided to ask her straight away. He loved her and didn't wanna lose her because of the false suspicions in his mind. She may get angry that he didn't trust her and he was ready to begin for forgiveness if needed, but he couldn't let the misunderstandings and doubts destroy their relationship.

"I wanna ask you something. Can you promise you won't lie and tell me the truth?"

"You are scaring me Sparsh. Whatever it is, give it straight to me. Come on!"

Sparsh had barely parted his lips to speak and Ragini's phone started ringing.

"Receive it, we'll talk later."

Ragini walked to the bed side table and grabbed her phone. She immediately hung up the phone with a V shape between her thick brows and it was enough to tell whose call it was.

"Why did you hang up? Who was that?"

"A spam call. Forget it, you were saying something." And she walked towards him.

As he began to speak, the phone rang again and Ragini seemed worried. In his room, Sid seemed to enjoy this game. He had become heartless and didn't care about the emotions of his brother. He was obsessed with Ragini and could go to any extent to win her back.

"I think you should receive the call. Maybe it's urgent."

"Then I'll receive it. It won't take long."

Ragini picked up the call and began with, "Yes, who's this?"

Sparsh smirked at her words while he sipped his coffee, with his full attention to the conversation.

"I understand. However, I can't comply to your request as I'm on my honeymoon and don't intend to work even for a second. I hope you understand." And she disconnected the call.

She walked towards Sparsh who had finished his coffee and was looking straight at her. He stood up as she reached him and said, "Go and take a shower. We need to leave for the theatre."

"Wanna join me?"

"I've already bathed myself. Don't wanna do it again."

"You're so innocent and stupid," said Ragini and stormed into the bathroom.

Sparsh settled into the recliner and said to himself, "I guess I'm stupid, this is why my brother and my wife have been fooling me like this."
