Ragini kept pacing around her room, waiting for Sparsh. It was midnight and he was still out. Ragini's cheeks were stained with the tears she had shed after getting to know about the crisis which had fallen on her. She was worried for Sparsh, for he would be feeling cheated and betrayed after knowing her past with Sid.

"I tried to explain to him. I told him that all we had was in the past, that now we're back to being friends. But he seemed to not believe me," lied Sid. He had begun his game and he was quite excited about it. Now he just had to wait and watch the consequences of his dirty tricks.

Ragini nodded off while waiting for him while Sparsh sat at a bar, consuming the harshest alcohols. The bitterness of the drinks gave him a sense of freedom from those overpowering thoughts. He gulped down the bitter liquid to forget the betrayal of his wife and he managed to do so as he soon lost consciousness and his brain finally relaxed too.

The sun had risen and Sparsh was still not home. At the breakfast table, Ragini lied about his emergency surgery due to which he had to leave early.

"Sid, what should I do? He didn't even take his phone with himself. I'm scared," cried Ragini when she was alone with Sid in her room.

Sid moved closer to Ragini and patted her shoulder, trying to comfort her. He seemed worried on the surface but his heart felt like dancing. He was just one step away from making Ragini his, again.

"Let's wait for him and I'll talk to him again," said Sid.

Ragini spent the whole day waiting for Sparsh. She called the hospital but couldn't get any information on him. Her eyes had swelled up due to the lack of sleep and continuous crying. Her heart felt like shattering every second in his absence. She had to lie about emergency surgeries again at the dinner table.

It was around 12:30 a.m. when she heard the front gate open. She had been waiting for Sparsh, walking to and fro in the living room. She ran towards the door and opened it before Sparsh even got out of the car. She ran to the car and stood still, waiting for him to get off the vehicle. After about a minute, Sparsh appeared in front of her. At the sight of him, she coulihold back her tears. She wanted to hug him tightly but couldn't manage to do so due to her guilt.

She mustered up courage and finally said, "Sparsh, where were you? I was so scared."

Sparsh didn't pay any attention to her and walked towards their home but he couldn't walk properly. Ragini followed him and held his hand, "What's wrong with you? Are you injured?"

He jerked her hand away and continued with his wobbly walk. He went straight to their room followed closely by Ragini. She didn't want to disturb the family so she decided they should talk in their room. Once in the room, Ragini held his hand and said, "Please listen to me. We need to talk."

Once again, Sparsh wrenched his hand away while giving her a dreadful look. His red eyes were full of fury and hate. Ragini noticed his frightening eyes and also the smell of alcohol. He had been drinking. He was drunk.

"Are you drunk?" asked Ragini.

Sparsh took out his clothes from the wardrobe and rushed into the bathroom.
Ragini followed him. "You stink of alcohol, Sparsh."

Sparsh stood still and didn't respond in any way.

"How much did you drink to smell like this? Tell me, Sparsh. You're angry, I understand. But does this make the situation better. I was so scared, you left your phone at home. I even called your hospital and they said you didn't go there. I was worried about you. Everyone was worried for you. Where were you? Tell me, please."

Sparsh finally talked, "Let's talk after I take a shower. I'm tired."

Ragini sat there, on the bed, crying and waiting for him to come back while he stood under the running shower trying to forget his pain.

He came out of the shower around thirty minutes later to find Ragini watching him with her keen, watery eyes. She stood at the sight of him. He looked fresh and fine after a cold water shower.

Ragini parted her lips to talk but before words could come out of her mouth, Sparsh interrupted her. "I forgot something in my car. I'll be back in five minutes. "

She waited impatiently. She wanted to clarify everything. It was difficult but she believed in their love. She knew Sparsh would understand her. She had faith in her relationship. While she was processing her thoughts, he returned with some papers in his hand.

Sparsh said, "Before you say anything, take these." He handed over those papers to Ragini.

The letters in bold at the top shattered her whole world. Her legs lost all the strength and she dropped to the ground. Her heart began aching. Tears dropped down from her eyes and she seemed lifeless staring at the papers.

"Let's divorce. It's better for both of us."

Ragini quickly stood up to face him and wiped her tears. "Let me explain. I know you're angry, I'm sorry for hurting you like this, but please let me explain. I'll tell you everything. Please, Sparsh. Give me one more chance. Please!"

"I don't wanna listen to anything. I know the truth. Siddharth has told me everything. So you don't need to repeat it."

"I'm sorry Sparsh. Please forgive me. I beg you," cried Ragini.

"Sign these papers." He handed a pen to her.

She held his hand and said, "Sparsh, let me explain. Please listen to me."

He jerked off his hand and shouted, "I'm letting you go, now. It must have been a misery for you to be with me. Pretending to be in love with me. Now you're free."

"What are you saying Sparsh? I love you."

"Stop it. Your game is over now. Don't play with me, you don't need to. I know the truth, so you better stop pretending."

"Sparsh, listen to me. I'm sorry but give me a chance to explain." She grabbed his hands and squeezed them.

He pushed her away and shouted, "Leave me alone, damn it! Get the fuck out of my life now!"

Her forehead hit the bed and she cried in pain. Sparsh flinched at her painful scream but didn't move even a bit. His anger overcame his love for her.

"I don't need you in my life."

"I have made mistakes, I know and I'm sorry for that. But at least listen to me. My feelings for you are genuine."

"What are your feelings for me? For your ex's brother? How could you sleep with me, on my bed, when you loved Siddharth? How could you let me touch you when the one in your heart was my brother? What kind of a woman does that? What are you? A slut?"

A slap landed on his cheek. Ragini stood facing him with tears rolling down her red cheeks. The door creaked open and Sid stood at the threshold.

"Take her away or I'll do something we all will regret," commanded Sparsh.

Sid came in and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "Let's go."
