Kyle didn't bother saying anything, he just watched her leave. She came back with a bowl and a white cloth in her and she shut the door behind her.
She placed the bowl on the bedside drawer and sat beside him, she glanced at his face before turning back to the bowl.
She dipped the white cloth into the bowl of cold water then squeezed it a little to drain the excess water out. She pushed the strands of hair that stuck to his face away and then folding the cloth into a rectangle, she placed in his fore head.
After a few seconds, she took the cloth from his forehead and dipped it into the bowl cold water and squeezed it before putting it on his forehead again.
''This will help with your temperature'' She repeated it a few times and he just sighed.

The sunlight shone on the large windows, illuminating the entire room. The morning seemed a bit warm compared to the rainy night.
Kyle groaned half awake, he had one arm over his eyes. His eyes flew open and moved his hand away from his face, as he did that his hand touched the damp cloth on his forehead and it dawned on him that he had fallen asleep.
Last night after Valerie had repeated her 'treatment' a few times, she asked Kyle to close his eyes.
''Now close your eyes, you'll be completely fine in the morning'' She smiled and he just obeyed, he had been doing that frequently that night. After Kyle closed his eyes, Valerie leaned over him, watching him, Kyle was obviously still awake but chose to ignore he seemed to be going through something.
Now the morning came, his eyes searched for her, his eyes widened when he spotted her sleeping on the floor with her head resting at the edge of the bed.
He took off the damp cloth and put it away, his temperature was back to normal now. He came down from bed and walked over to her
''Squeaky mouse'' His voice rang but the girl didn't move. He tapped her shoulder and then she stirred before letting out a yawn. Her eyes fluttered open, it took her a few seconds to process things and when she did. She looked up, meeting Kyle's gaze.
She rose up quickly, he looked normal now and his aura was back to its iciness like last night never happened or was it a dream? She looked at the bowl and white cloth on the bedside drawer and that confirmed that it wasn't a dream.
Suddenly, she touched his neck, his temperature was fine. Kyle raised a brow due to her actions.
''Is there a problem'' He asked even though he understood what she did.
''Your fever...it's gone'' She said
''Weren't you the one who said I'd be fine in the morning?''
''Yes but you look completely fine like you weren't ill at all'' Her tone showing disbelief.
''Hm''
''Oh, good morning'' She smiled brightly but Kyle didn't say anything, instead he just casually walked to his wardrobe and brought his black suit and trousers. He seemed to be going to work today, she noticed that the suit and trousers were neatly ironed and hung on a hanger and it must have been the butler who did.
Kyle paused and glanced at her from over his shoulder.
''You may leave'' His voice cold and Valerie moved. She took the bowl and cloth from the bedside drawer before leaving the room and shutting the door behind her. As walked through the large walls, her thoughts drifted to her grandma, she wanted to see her. When she got back yesterday she was already asleep. She went to the kitchen to return the bowl and cloth first, on her way she met Kay.
''Good morning Val'' He greeted her and she greeted him back
''Good morning Kay'' Kay's gaze fell on the things in her hand, he narrowed his gaze.
''What's with the bowl and..'' He didn't complete his sentence instead he just pointed at the white cloth she was holding. Valerie looked at her hands.
''I made use of it for to help Kyle'' She said
''Help kyle?
''Yes, he had a fever last night but he's fine now'' She explained and Kay's eyes widened upon hearing this.
''You don't have to worry, he's fine now'' She said and Kay smiled almost awkwardly
''I'll go see him'' He said before walking away from her.
Valerie entered the kitchen and kept the bowl and cloth, she met Janelle there and they exchanged greetings. Janelle glanced at what she had kept but didn't utter a word.
Valerie got to her and her grandma's room luckily Jade was awake and had eaten too. She could tell from the empty plate on the table, a nurse was there it wasn't the 'I hate my job' one that one was on night shift. The nurse was giving Jade her medicine, Valerie walked over to them.
''Good morning miss'' The nurse greeted her.
''Morning'' Valerie answered
After the nurse was done, she left the room. Jade was sitting up on the bed, she looked so much better now, she was recovering fast and it made Valerie's heart swell.
''Mi vida'' Jade uttered stretching her hand for Valerie to come closer
''Yes grandma'' Valerie moved closer to her
''Where did you go off to yesterday'' Jade asked
''I went to see Tasha at the hospital''
On hearing this, Jade gasped ''Oh my, hospital?'' She said
''Yes, but don't worry she only sprained her ankle'' Valerie quickly explained.
''Oh'' Jade relaxed
''Hope you didn't get too worried as you didn't know where I was'' Valerie asked
''Well I was worried but when I heard that the CEO had gone to look for you, I wasn't worried anymore'' Jade's face lit up
''Why's that?'' Valerie wondered why her grandmother wasn't worried anymore when she found out that Kyle had gone to look for her.
''That's cause I feel you're always safe around him'' Jade said teasingly, wiggling her brows and Valerie pouted her lips.
