He looked at me, a genuine, small, smile touching his lips. That one look held more emotions than words ever could.

We rose from our seats, my hand instinctively gripping his, refusing to let go.

As we started to walk, I noticed his shoelace untied. Before I could react, he stumbled, nearly tripping.

But I caught him. Of course, I caught him. I always would.

"Careful," I muttered, smiling to myself.
