When my eyes met her dark brown ones, I realized she had already been staring at me, making my heart flutter.
She swallowed hard under my gaze, but when my eyes trailed down to her body, especially that part.
I tried to push away the thoughts rushing into my mind at the sight of her wearing my clothes, especially that one.
I didn't want to think of her in that way without her permission, no matter how much I loved her.
But when it came to my goddess's body, I wouldn't allow myself to,unless she wanted me to.
Noticing how awkward she already was, I decided to change the topic.
"Is there anything else that got damaged?" I asked.
She simply pointed toward the bed.
I picked up the clothes and turned to leave. "Get some rest for a while. I'll be back soon with dinner," I said, offering her a tight-lipped smile. She returned the gesture before I stepped out.
Heading straight to the washing machine, I placed her clothes inside.
I knew she might feel awkward about me washing her clothes, especially her innerwears, but there wasn't much I could do. The landslide had wreaked havoc across the city, making it impossible to go anywhere.
Even the housekeeper had to leave to protect his family.
I set the timer on the washing machine when my phone rang,it was Maa.
I picked up the call.
"How's she?" was the first thing she asked.
"She's better than before but still recovering," I replied.
"Don't panic, baccha. She'll be fit and fine with your love and care. Just have patience."
I knew she would be okay, but seeing her in this broken state shattered me. She was physically and emotionally drained, and watching her like this made me feel just as weak.
"You both are alone, so be careful," Maa warned. "I trust you, but don't let jawani ka josh make you do something that might hurt her, she's already injured!"
I was too stunned to respond. But before I could recover, Papa jumped in.
"You can do whatever you want, we're with you," he said casually. "Just remember, our daughter isn't fully healed yet. Need some... control tips?"
I choked on air. Was this really happening?
"Maa... she's hurt. Can we please change the topic?" I pleaded.
"Aww, mera baccha sharma raha hai!" Maa cooed. "I can feel you blushing through the phone!"
I groaned, running a hand through my hair. "Maa, seriously?"
