As soon as I closed the tent, my phone buzzed. My heart skipped a beat, thinking it was Ivey, but nope it was Srija.

I picked up, "Sab theek hai na?"

"Nahi baba, kuch bhi theek nahi hai! Pehle tu ye bata jitna main Ivaan Sir ko jaanti hoon, he doesn't seem like... that type," she said in one breath.

"Uh... 'that type'? Matlab?" I asked, totally lost.

"Arre, woh type jo tujhe jhadiyon mein le jaaye!" she said dramatically.

"Kyaaa?"

"Kya kya! Sabko lag raha hai ki tum dono akele time spend karne gaye ho, you know what I mean. Par main tabse yahi soch rahi hoon, gaye to gaye kahan? Jhadi mein ya..." she replied

"Ek aur shabd bola na, toh main aake jhadu se teri dhulai karungi! Sab khayali pulao pakana bandh ho jayenge, woh kho gaye the junglon mai aur mai dhundne gayi thi !" I cut her off, fuming.

"Areh wah jaaneman, chal thik hai gussa mat kar! Ab mai sone ja rhi par kal phir se aaungi chidane."

The next day flew by, and we realised we only had one day left at the camp.

Soon, we'd all be heading back to our own lives, each of us with memories that would stay for a long time.

Today, we were all gathered in the village, taking in every last bit of it.

While I was busy with my work, Srija was close behind, constantly poking me and demanding to know how I could possibly resist falling for that "tall, handsome, 6-foot man."

Her teasing never stopped but what she didn't know was that he had already become a part of my life, in ways I hadn't even realised myself.

He didn't even try for it , he became a part of it effortlessly.

As we were playfully arguing, I noticed the man from the other day walking toward me.

There was something different in his eyes, gratitude, maybe? Before I could fully process, he reached out and took both of my hands in his, catching me off guard.

Ivey, noticing the gesture, instantly took a few quick steps toward me, looking less than pleased.

"Madam, agar aap nahi hoti toh pata nahi kya hota," he said, folding his hands over mine with a heartfelt sincerity. "Thank you... thank you so much."

His voice held a quiet intensity that filled the space between us. "Aap humare liye bhagwan ho." It was something I never imagined hearing so soon, if at all.

A warmth spread through me, a deep sense of pride and purpose that I hadn't felt before.

I glanced over at Ivey, and there he was smiling, nodding at me with a look of approval and reassurance.
