I sprinted to the garage only to find the car had broken down.
Damn it.
The other car is with Lirio. Then I spotted a bike-probably one of the worker's.
Wasting no time, I asked the guard for the keys.

He handed them over instantly, but his eyes were full of concern.
Maybe because it was pouring outside, and the weather forecast warned of more rain for the next day or two.
But I didn't care-I only cared about her.

I snatched the helmet from his hand, mounted the bike, and, thank God, it started on the first try.

Otherwise, I would've run to her place if I had to.As I pulled out of the mansion, the rain began pelting my body, sparing only my head.

I pushed the bike's speed, the raindrops slashing against me like tiny blades.
It hurt, but I ignored it.My phone rang, so I slowed down for a moment, hoping it was Ritu.

When I saw Lirio's name instead, I ignored it and shoved the phone back into my pocket.

My entire body was already drenched.
I revved up again, racing toward her apartment at 120 km/h. It was nearly impossible to ride at such speed in this storm, but somehow, I managed.

I jumped off the bike and rushed to the lift, jabbing the button for her floor.
Anxiety gnawed at me, my heart pounding as I took out my phone-only to find it dead from the rainwater.
When I reached her floor, I sprinted to her door.

It was locked from the inside when I tried the handle, and I could hear noises coming from within.

Before breaking it down, I decided to ring the bell since everything seemed fine from outside.
I rang it three times, but there was no answer.

Just as I was about to force the door open, it suddenly unlocked from the other side.
What I saw before me was something I could hardly believe.
