two chapters left guys.....

I think the plan for the future is set in stone now! I'm going to have a posting schedule, that way I can stay in control and write two stories at once!

Tuesday-Saturday - Forever and Always (sequel)
Thursday-Sunday - Coincidence (New book!)

Things can always change, so this may be changed and I may not stay on schedule exactly. With school and my sport, it's about to be super busy. I'm probably going to start having practice five days a week, so that could become a problem. I probably will post more than just on this schedule as time allows.

For some reason, this chapter was hard to write. The words were not flowing.

Anyway, enjoy!

December 17th, 2023

Taylor was dreading today.

If she said she was fine with Elara having a PR girlfriend, she'd be lying. She knew the intentions were to keep her safe, but she couldn't help but feel her stomach twist at the thought.

She sat quietly on the edge of the bed, her eyes following Elara as she dashed around the room, preparing for her fake date. She kept picking different clothes, unable to make up her mind. She'd ask for Taylor's opinion, and she'd offer a smile, but she felt a pang of jealousy.

It wasn't the date itself that bothered Taylor; it was how much effort she was putting into something that wasn't real. She longed for that attention, for Elara to be getting ready for a public date with her instead. She imagined what Elara would be like today if her date was with her instead. Probably still laying in bed and playing with Taylor's hair. Little moments like that were important with them.

As Elara twirled in front of the mirror one last time, Taylor's mind wandered to the possibility of Taylor telling Elara how she was feeling. Although, she didn't. There wasn't a point, because then Elara would cancel her date, and the whole world would spread the flame she had already produced with the photos into a wildfire.

"Tay, what's wrong mon amour?" Elara saw right through Taylor's hollow smile.

She shrugged. "I don't know, I'm a little jealous. I guess I just wish I was going on a date with you, not Maisie. What if you decide she's better and break up with me? Taylor's mind was suddenly flooded of all the bad things that could happen on the date.

"Tay, tu es la seule que j'aimerai jamais. Nobody else is even in my vision. I left my feelings for Maisie back in high school." Elara chuckled, but Taylor's eyes widened.
[Tay, your the only one I'll ever love]

"What do you mean back in highschool? You liked her?" Second chance romances were Elara's favorite romance book trope, Taylor had learned. What if Elara brought the romance back to life? What if old feelings resurface?

Elara lifted her shoulders. "Yeah, we dated back in highschool. It wasn't really a like 'oh my gosh I love you' kind of romance, it was more of a 'something traumatic happened to me with my last boyfriend and you were nice to me, so I'm replacing him with you' type of thing."

Suddenly, a wave of worry washed over Taylor. The thought of Elara going to see her ex stirred an unsettling feeling in her chest.

Taylor sat there, lost in thought when Elara stood up on the bed, walking towards the door. "Well I'm going to be late. Tay, don't worry about me and Maisie, I'm more into tall girls." She smirked at Taylor before exiting the room.

As soon as she knew she couldn't hear, Taylor pulled out her phone to message her groupchat.
