~CHILDHOOD TRAUMA~

ALT: Motion sickness

Cas was in Dean's car, Sam was there too. They were in for a long drive. From Lebanon, Kansas to Lansing, Michigan. There was a big case.

Cas was feeling strange, he was feeling something that he had never felt before on the car ride. The road was bumpy, and the car was bouncing around. He was starting to feel...nauseous? He thinks that he was experiencing some sensory overload as well. The sight of all the cars that kept on passing by was making him anxious and stressed for some unknown reason. The sound of Sam and Dean talking loudly and Asia on the radio was starting to upset him as well. And Dean had on way too much cologne. His stomach was growing increasingly queasy, and he was starting to get sweaty and dizzy. He was trying to distract himself and make himself more comfortable, but nothing was working. He knew that Dean would be very angry if Cas threw up in his car, so he quickly said, "Dean, pull over.'' Dean frowned but did not question it and did so quickly. "What is going on, Cas?'' Before Cas could even answer, he was on the ground retching. He had never thrown up before, so this was a new experience. He started crying. "W-what is happening to me?'' Dean and Sam quickly gotten out of the car, as they too knew that the angel had never thrown up before. Dean rubbed his back. "Hey, now. It's alright, Cas. Just let it out.'' Cas sighed shakily and sat up a bit. "Ok...I think that I am done. What was that? It tasted so bad.'' "Yeah, it usually does, buddy. It is called throwing up, or barfing, or vomiting, or-'' "Ok, Dean. I think that he gets it.'' Sam interrupted. "Sorry...well, yeah.'' "Why does it happen? Why do people do it? I did not want to do it. Why did it happen to me?'' "1 question at a time damn!! Nobody chooses it, exept people with bulimia but that is different. It is possible to make yourself throw up. Nobody wants it or likes it. There are all kinds of reasons why people throw up. Food poisoning, illness, side effects from medication-'' "And motion sickness.'' Sam interjected. "Cas, I think that maybe you have motion sickness.'' "Oh...yes, perhaps so. But this has never happened before whenever I rode in a car.'' "Well, sometimes it can be new or a sudden onset.'' "I guess so...what shold we do about it?'' "There is anti-nausea medicine.'' "Ok...thank you, guys. And I am sorry about all of...this.'' "No problem, man. We have all done it at some point. I am just thankful that it was not in my car. Now, let's go get you cleaned up.'' "Ok...''

And so it was.
